Vidanta Nuevo Nayarit-Vallarta

They have the course perfect, ready for the PGA tournament this moth.

Was repairing some holes, about tournament that the going to have in Normans Course

Mix of an old and new course

Long distance between 5th and 6th hole

Got a “Hot Deal” for an afternoon tee time, I was a bit worried that we would not get the round in, but managed to get 18 in before dark. Course was in great shape as you’d expect so close to the open. Vidanta has also streamlined their golf operations in the last couple of years, so there wasn’t the crazy problems getting to the first hole that I’ve experienced in previous years. Fun day!

Vidanta in general is an amazing complex of hotels and ammenities. Nevertheless, it seems that they have chopped and stitched the Nayar Course to acomodate new building. It is quite clear that the course has closeed some holes and improvised new ones.

The way the course is drawn, feels extrange and it is quite easy. Not to many challenges.

I was actually dissapointed.

Course was in wonderful condition. Got to play about a month before the 2025 Mexico Open before they switched to cart path only. Our caddie, Nicholas, was very helpful and was lots of fun to be around. Very scenic course with several postcard holes and some wildlife(baby crocodile, very large boa). Pro shop staff, starters, shuttle drivers etc. were friendly and helpful. The property is huge and could be very difficult to find your way around if you don’t know where you are going. Could use bigger signage maybe. The rental clubs were decent but pricey and could use a good cleaning and maybe a re-gripping. Overall was a really great experience.
