The Lakes at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta

Played in July and it was super hot. Course is right behind the pro shop, but they don’t sell any beverages, so bring your own water. The longest tee shot was around 114 yards.

Love the game on this par 3...first game of the season!

My wife and I played the Lakes course, fantastic layout for an executive course and got around easily in 1.5 hours. A little difficult for my wife who is a beginner with most holes having a forced water carry to the green. I found the layout to be extremely attractive and very playable as a 10 handicap. The day was capped off with my first Hole-in-one on #6! Value wise it is expensive, but considering the rates for the championship courses on site and in the area, it was our only option for cost and enjoy ability based on her abilities. All and all, a very nice outing, with a nice memory to cherish together.

Great place to play can’t say anything. Bad greens are great. Fairways are great. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed maybe when yourself but that has nothing to do with the golf course. Good luck.

Played at 640pm. Atmosphere, once on the course was amazing. Pristine conditions with giant bats flying around eating flies. Sort of feels like golfing in Jurassic park. Get there at least 30 mins early, cuz the shuttle into Jurassic park is pretty elaborate and confusing. No bar or beer cart at this specific course too. A little pricey for 10 holes (especially after the canadian dollar conversion)… but overall worth it. But i got a hole in one on hole 1…soooooo pretty biased over here.

A lot of water makes this a fun and challenging par 3 course. You have to carry your clubs as there are no carts. Layout involves some backtracking. Course is in walking distance of pro shop.

The course itself is pretty and the conditions of the course are good. But when we initially booked, we were booking for 18 holes only to learn it’s only 10 holes. The holes are themselves very very short. Can’t even even considered a real par three course. The cost to play this was way too expensive, this should be a 10 or $15 course for maybe kids to play on or learn. In addition, the staff were anything but friendly. We did not stay at the hotel. We just wanted to use the golf course and they would not allow us to use their Wi-Fi to call an Uber.

We vacationed with friends for a week at Vidanta-Nuevo Vallarta and began our second day with a round at The Lakes Course. We are casual golfers, although reasonably experienced. The condition of the course was amazing, including impeccably maintained fairways and greens -- far better than any other course I have played. Although the holes are short (irons only), the bunkers and the water make this par-3 course a fun challenge. We packed a bag of used golf balls from home, knowing that we would lose a number to the water . . . and we did. Between the three of us, we managed to lose about 20 balls over the 10-hole course and had a lot of laughs doing so! We also had some great shots over the water features that were personally rewarding. We enjoyed the course so much that we planned to play a second time, but let our pool time get in the way of another round. When we return for another vacation at Vidanta in Nuevo Vallarta, we plan to play this course again.

This is an unusual 10 hole par 3. The longest hole is 114 yards but presents a challenge with the short irons as there is water on every hole. It is beautifully groomed and landscaped. Good fun for an evening under the lights while on vacation at Vidanta.

We had a great time playing at this course. The entire course was in incredible shape, especially for an executive course.

The price for the round was not too high for a resort golf course that can be played at night under the lights. All of the greens were in impeccable shape, landscaping throughout the course looked great, and there are a number of enjoyable, challenging tee shots that you wouldn’t normally experience on a regular sized, non-executive course.

We are looking forward to playing it again.

This is an absolutely immaculate executive course that can be played under the lights on the Vidanta - Nuevo Vallarta resort. The course is in excellent condition with water hazard and bunkers on every hole which is a rarity for an executive course. The greens are average size, and roll pure.

The price is a high, but is fair for a resort course in my opinion ($59), as it is more of a scenic feature of the overall resort so they want to keep it in great shape (keep non-golfers off that could damage it).

All in all, if you are a golfer and want to play a little golf under the lights on vacation, this is a great option IMO.

This course was advertised to us as a family friendly easy course, it has the gimmick of being able to enjoy night golfing and since we were staying at the resort we thought this would be a nice way to spend our evening. The first downside is they make you pay full price for sleeves of balls ($10USD), this was not told to us when we booked our game and we’re told everything would be included. Our room over looks the course and we watch staff members pull wheelbarrows of balls out of the water traps daily yet the course refuses to sell singles.

This course forces you to hit over 60-90 yards of water on every hole, and if you over shoot by 20 yards or under shoot by 20 yards you will end up in the water. Me and my wife are casual golfers and we ended up walking off the course by hole 5 because we hit our balls 20 yards over the holes and lost them forever. Their solution was to just fork up the cash for more balls when they are already over charging to play the course.

Next they give you the worst golf bag ever made, it was falling apart when I got it, although minor it adds to the frustration of this course in general.

Don’t bother wasting your time or your money on this gimmick golf course.
