Golfer Reviews
Course in terrible shape
We were charged full price for a course that is in terrible shape. Fairways with literal lakes in the middle, couldn’t play one sand trap, all filled with water or no sand. Terrible experience
Vidante - Nayer Course
We had a fun round due to our excellent Caddy - Max. Had to play the back 9 twice due to aeration but the discounted pricing made it worth while .
Give yourself lots of time if you are coming from outside as it took 20+ mins. To get a shuttle from where we were dropped to the proshop.
Nice enough course but the ridiculous journey out to the 6th & 7th holes is just wrong. Caddies are required to make sure you don’t get lost - on the cart paths!
Losing two par 4’s (to ‘temporary’ par 3’s) on the front nine made the difference between front and back nines very dramatic.
Poor value for those of us who paid.
Pretty Good
Course in good shape, 1 hole had temp green middle of fairway and 1 hole had temp tee box.
Great course after few holes under reconstruction
Enjoy golf there first time with caddy, who made game more fun.
course under construction. several holes par 4 turned to par 3.
Disappointment
I’ve played Vidanta multiple times. Normally Nayar is in great shape, even if the course design is a bit weird.
This time, the course was not up to the Vidanta standard, and certainly not for the price they charged for the round.
- all the greens on the back are in average conditions
- there are two temporary holes on the front, on is a temporary green (no distance provided) and the other is a part 4 cut in half ending up in a 100-yard par 3. Course plays a total of 68.
- none of this is mentioned when we pay or check-in.
We will come back to Vidanta, but for the main course.
Extremely expensive for a poor course design and poor maintenance.
Disappointing experience overall.
The course design has clearly been altered from its original layout, and the changes have significantly diminished the quality and flow of the course. What may once have been a well-thought-out design now feels disjointed and uninspired.
Maintenance is poor across multiple areas, including fairways, greens, and bunkers, which further detracts from the playing experience. To make matters worse, the golf carts are extremely expensive yet lack basic features such as GPS, which is difficult to justify at this price point.
Overall, the value simply isn’t there. The experience does not come close to matching what you are paying for, and I would not recommend this course unless significant improvements are made.
Back 9 green conditions were horrendous!
I played this course last year at this same time of year and enjoyed it very much! This year I felt like I got ripped off on the back 9.
Front 9 holes were in good condition from tees to fairway's and greens. Green speed was average but consistent from hole to hole. A pleasant experience!
On the back 9, the 10th hole was in good condition with the exception the green speed was MUCH slower and many sandy areas.
Then came holes 11 through 18, the greens were unbelievably bad!
Many patched with multiple pieces of sod of much different types of grass and drastically different length. Bare spots of dead grass and areas of sand with no grass. Did not look like pin positions had been moved in weeks and ragged hole edges. (See attached pictures) I would have taken more pictures but I was playing with a very nice couple who were longtime members and did not feel comfortable taking them.
The front 9 was an 8 and the back 9 was a zero!
Armando was our caddy and was a solid 10. He was fun, helpful and very attentive.
Great day on a very nice course
Great experience all around , from arriving at the resort and the staff were great. Quickly getting a cart to pick me up and take me to the club house pro shop. The rentals were top of the line and in great shape. Very nice grass range. Johnathon was a fantastic caddie , helpful , funny and just a great guy with very good knowledge of the course. There was a bit of construction on the front which made it a bit shorter , back was so good. I would reccommend this course thru GolfNow to anyone. Two thumbs up!
Two par 4 holes are under construction and are playing as par3.

Modified Course
We played two days after extremely intense rain, probably not a good idea. No roll and ponds on several fairways. Front nine had one temporary “green” due to construction of new green. This made it a par 3. The front nine also had two other par 4’s shortened to par 3’s because of wet course conditions.
Golf Now failed to tell about the modified course conditions. Primarily, the hole under renovation.
I was unaware that we had to take a caddie. Added expense. It turned out to be a necessity as this was the most linear course I have ever played. We had a good caddie.
