My playing partner. 80 years old and still nailing his drives! Photo submitted by JettSpot on 07/11/2017
Videnta
Great course. Greens were punched 2 weeks prior to get ready for pga tournament. Still ok.
Good value compared ro resort cost. Easy arrangement. Booking through golf now very easy.
Book This Course
Vidanta is a great resort. Easy to get in and out once you learn where to park and how the shuttle works to take you to the Golf Course. Caddies were great. Condition was Great. Great Value, highly recommend booking through Golf Now!
Great Practice Facility, Great Course, Great Caddies, if you are into the social Class Structure thing.
Greens are great, very subtle.
the only bad thing is the check in process!! Brutal in fact. Give yourself lots of time before you play.
A great track to play for all
Nayar is a good combination of old and new 9’s
Both are very testing to your skills and very playable for all in the family to enjoy
One of yhe ones to play while in PV
Amazing Hot Deal
I wasn't planning on bringing my clubs to Mexico, but when I booked a $79 hot deal for a noon time, I couldn't resist.
After reading all the complaints about getting to the pro shop I arrived early, and it only took me 10 minutes. I think this was because the shuttles seem to run on the top and bottom of the hour, and I had caught one right away. With the check-in at the pro shop completed, I was instructed to follow another group to the practice area where I would wait an hour and a half till my tee time. The driving range and short game area were very nice, along with the very large practice green. I noticed the greens had been punched (3 weeks earlier according to our caddy) and were very slow.
I met my other playing partners and we were assigned a caddy. This seems to be the other complaint I read a lot about, but they are only 400 pesos (make sure to bring cash to pay them) and I have never had a caddy before. We were assigned David, he was friendly and fantastic, knowledgeable, had great stories about pros at the course, and was always right about the greens. Easily worth the money.
The weather was around 30°C but it was the humidity that got to me as a Canadian, a light wind off the ocean definitely made the round bearable.
Course conditions were decent, as mentioned the worst part were probably the punched greens but the fairways were great, bunkers soft, and the rough was...interesting. I've never played off paspalum before and man that stuff can be tricky especially in the thicker rough where your ball could be lying on top a fluffy layer teed up 3 inches or it could be buried deep into a tangle of grass and you'd be lucky to get out. That doesn't even count how the shorter cut paspalum around the green reacts to chips and approaches. A very fun experience.
The course layout was nice, I only wished they would have made the par 3's a little longer, they were using the forward tee boxes, and with the pins mostly at the front, they all played around 80-100. The par 5's were also playing very short that day, although I didn't take advantage of that.
Overall, as a budget golfer, I would definitely come back for another Hot Deal. It was fun playing at the home of the Mexico Open trying to imagine how I'd fair with tournament conditions and tee boxes, however at full price it's too rich for my blood and perhaps that's where some of the the negative reviews are coming from.
Great track
Good value on golfnow. Martine was our caddie, speaks great English and was great.
Greens were aerated a few weeks back: are a little slow, but quite playable.
It was long weekend in México so couple of very slow groups in front. Previous days were much smoother and I was able to overtake bigger groups very smoothly. Professional golf club, very friendly people so highly recommended.
Nice golf course
Enjoyed the day. The caddie was very friendly and helpful.
Nayar
Our caddy Juan was great. The course was backed up, and there were some very slow foursomes And given that we were just a twosome Juan was able to To pop around the course and catch empty holes and we still ended up playing all 18 in just over 2 1/2 hours!!
Muy buen campo
El lugar donde se ubica es maravilloso, el campo muy bien, menos complicado que el otro de Vidanta, el caddy Martin genial y todo el stsff
El complejo de primer mundo
Excelent course for the money.
Had alot if fun and played this ciurse twice in the last werk. Very player friendly and knoledgable staff. Caddy totally worth the money.
Caddies were great!
I have played twice this week and both the caddies were fantastic. Daniel Was both really knowledgable about the golf swing and incredibly helpful as well we were playing as a single and he navigated the course and we charged all over the place and avoided back up and played in just over 2 hours!!
