My playing partner. 80 years old and still nailing his drives! Photo submitted by JettSpot on 07/11/2017
Vidanta/Nayarit
It was an amazing experience due to the caddy named Carlos. He new the course very well and chose the right clubs for each hole with helpful tips. It was a bummer the front nine was under construction and we didn't get to play it.
First time at Nayar golf course at Vidanta
This course is part of a large gated resort. It is one of two courses. The other one is Greg Norman designed championship course. The courses criss cross in some locations and I was extremely confusing and frustrating to locate the holes. Some holes are spaced apart as far as a quarter mile or more, extremely poor signage and some of the signs are in bad shape with hole numbers missing.
It is possible that the courses were undergoing repairs and restoration when I played at the end of April (not a peak golf season here).
So unless you are staying in the resort or familiar with the course layouts, it can be a frustrating experience. Other than that the courses are great and well maintained.

The course was in great shape. The use of the caddy was invaluable. I really enjoyed the course. For the price I paid, it was amazing. I would recommend this course
Plan to be there at least 3 hrs before your flight... Tee time
Staff and course are great the only inconvenient is that to get to the 1st Tee box it might take you a couple of hours and patience because distance and shuttle are not quick.
For the rest, it was a blast with the great support of our caddy, pro shop staff, golf range and The Golf course.
It is a most if you are in the area.
Fantastic Golf
Played Normans Course at Vidanta World Monday Wednesday &Friday . We had a great time , course in supper condition . Lots of golf on this track.
Play again whenever possible.

Front 9 closed!!!
I booked this few days before, I also called a day in advance to book a junior rate, I arrived and right after I paid for my son I come out from the proshop and they told me the front is closed for aerification and I could only play the back 9 twice…. The course was in very nice shape but I can’t believe there is a PGA tour event there, it is just too flat, felt like playing a public course in texas in excellent shape, almost all lies flat, no dunes, very simple, I thought the Gregg Norman name was going to make it very special. I think probably the course from the four seasons is going to be better for the money.
Nice course to play if in the area
Fun course was in great condition. Caddie is mandatory, but a good one is worth the 400 pesos.
Beware
Played the Vidanta Course and Nayar course 3x while staying on property. If you can actually get to the course, I applaud you. The course says they will pick you up at your building and take you to course. Cart never came for our 3 rounds. We paid a maintenance guy to take us day 1 and road in the back of a caged off cart to get there. Once there, you are greeted by the most unfriendly starters I have ever experienced who offer no help. Prices at the course are over $150-$200 more than advertised online. The courses are extremely nice and I enjoyed them. The last day we didnt even get to tee off because they were letting 6somes go off and we waited on the tee box for 20 minutes to tee off before we finally left as the 6some just cruised around the fairway the entire time. The course only offered a rain check for a date we were leaving. And didnt even let us play the par 3 or the simulators as a consolation. Diego and Francisco (caddies) were excellent caddies and they honestly should be running the place. Will not return to play this place. Others also complained about pace of play, rudeness, and inefficiency of getting to cars/buildings.
amazing Course
I loved this course, had a wonderful round. the course was in great condition
Over priced
My wife likes to come along and take pictures while I play but to charge $75 for her to ride in the cart with me is ridiculous that is called gouging the price of golf here in Mexico is already way over priced
Fun Track
I play a lot of courses of various layouts, length and conditions. Yes, you do have to account for shuttle delays, some holes that take a bit of a drive to get to, but really enjoyed the round and our caddy Miguel was a joy to have.
The fact that we had a caddy made this experience better
Given this was our first time playing this golf course, it was nice to have a caddy to provide direction as well as advice on reading the greens. It made the experience better versus guessing where to play shots.
