Reviews
Great course
Had the best time, they look after you from when you get out of the taxi to when you get back in a taxi. My first time having a caddy and I cant wait to have the experience again.
Greens and Fairways Punched
Greens were punched 2 weeks and were still very sandy and bumpy. Fairways has quite a heavy sand out down after punching. Was actually picking bigger pieces a r the gravel behind my ball on the fairways. Also carts are now CART PATH ONLY until end of April 2023 Until after Mexica open. Mandatory caddie is alright but adds 1000 pesos to the cost of the group. Nice layout. Would go back after April sometime.
Golf
The course was great, the Caddy was excellent very knowledge. He did an outstanding job and took really good care of all 4 of us. Only issue was cart path only and we had one player with a damaged knee. Tried to get a disability flag for him but couldn’t. We should have been told at time of booking that the greens were currently aerated and it was golf path only
Rental clubs embarrassing
We were on a cruise and scheduled golf for 4. With fees, caddy and rental clubs, it was nearly 900.00.
They gave us clubs (55.00 per set) that you wouldn’t buy at a garage sale!! The caddy was embarrassed. The driver head was loose with dents. The fourth set didn’t have a driver or a fairway wood. Nobody cared. It was a pretty setting and our caddy was terrific but we’ll never play again. No excuse for the poor quality. They were getting ready for a PGA event so it was cart path only. Getting great shots with those ridiculous clubs made for a tough round. Beware!!
stay away for a while
we played last week, the first two holes are roped off, cart path only. They were putting up barracades for all holes. It is cart path only because they are getting ready for the mexican open in april. No discount for that either.

great golf
course is in great shape, with nice views. Staff is friendly. Interesting ride up there. Not cheap golf.

Staff Are Very Ignorant
From what is presumed to be a high end course your checkin Poe shop staff and caddy staff need to be more cordial to Canadians who are tying to get some help and ask questions as it was our first time there. The staff were only interested in helping the Mexican people / players and Inam sure Greg Norman would be shocked at the lack of professional service provided to my wife and I. Especially with her being handicapped. Your staff should be ashamed and fired.
Course was great but they are getting ready for PGA a event in April. Greens and fairways sanded and airrated so putting was basically a waste of time. Also importantly it was cart path only which I personally don’t like.
Not delivering up to its reputation
When playing a course like Normal Signature, home of Mexico Open, expectations are at the level of the price they charge. Not well organized, delay in getting a cart to club house, delay in getting a cart. Sandy fairways, spiked greens. All of these should be mentioned ahead of time or price in accordance to conditions. Was still a fun round, thanks to Francisca, great caddie. But not as it should have been. For the rest, Vidanta should deliver to customers’ expectations.
Give this Course a Pass
The greens were all topped dressed making it difficult to putt
The staff here are rude
I played this course with a 2:40 tee-off. We had to play with a cadi who started off really nice. We actually bought him drinks and food and he helped us at first. After the 10th hole the pace of play slowed down and at times there were 4 groups on one hole. We still paid good money to play and wanted to finish. They turned the sprinklers on at the 16th hole and our cadi basically stopped doing anything. You could tell he wanted to leave. We ended up finishing the last hole with little light and our cadi became rude. He banged on the cart and shouted directions as we made our way back to the clubhouse. We intended on giving him a great tip as it’s Christmas but he left us with a bad taste. We paid him with a 20% tip and he looked at us like he was insulted. This place portrays itself as a top tier course and it’s nothing even close to that. Save your money and don’t waste your time. By the way, from arriving it takes about 45 minutes till you are actually at the driving range. I wouldn’t recommend this place
Fantastic Time!
My father-in-law and I played the day after Christmas and we had a great time. He rented, almost brand new Titleist clubs and I brought mine. Our caddie, Leonel, was amazing and well worth the $40 bucks (we gave him much more than that!). The course was in great shape and the pace was good. We had an early tee time and I recommend planning at least ~45 minutes before your time. The taxi dropped us off inside the complex at a shuttle station and no one really helped us until our golf shuttle showed up. Plan to wait about 10 minutes there and it is another 10 minutes to the pro shop. Once you checkin and pay, it is another 10 minute ride in your cart to the driving range. I will definitely play again and book through GolfNow because the rate was so much better and the savings covered my double margaritas!
