Over rated
Very disappointed in this course. I drive down from Punta Mita with the hope of have a great golf day on what I expected to be one of the best courses in the area. Barely got there on time due to the many hoops and stops you have to make getting to the course. I was assigned a caddie that did nothing more than take up space in my cart. He never cleaned the mud off my golf ball or offered any kind of advice that was helpful. I had the feeling he wanted to be somewhere else. Not a good experience. I would not go back in fact I’ve already made sure my other friends here don’t play it. Did I mention that this experience cost me 3 times what my great experience cost me up in Punta Mita. Don’t waste your money.
Excelente campo
El único inconveniente es que se tardan en transportarte al campo (mas de 15 minutos de espera)
Beautiful course, tough to play(which is a good thing) helpful friendly plentiful staff. They provide a mandatory caddie.
Rerouted and so much better
I've played this course many times, but this is the first since the PGA Tour event was held at Vidanta in April. The tour took the two courses and added a few from the second course and eliminated some of the boring holes from the Norman layout for the tournament. Those changes have remained, so now the course is the route the PGA Tour players played and it's so much better. Course was in great shape as always, and pace of play was lightning fast. Easily the best experience available in the Puerto Vallarta area, Vidanta remains a funky place with the shuttles and delays in even getting to the pro shop, so always give yourself extra time before your tee time
Great layout
It is a great course and fun to play. Our caddie Ramon was great and certainly helped us to enjoy the round. They had just punched the greens and the employee in the pro shop tried to tell me I knew when I booked the round. There was no warning when I booked. It certainly detracted from the experience, but it was still fun. Slow and bumpy greens was the only negative. Barely saw anyone else on the course and would play again for sure.
Nightmare in Nayarit
To start it is almost impossible to find this course even-though I had been here before. Once there nobody could be bothered to greet me or tell me where to park. Nobody would tell me where to drop off your clubs. Found parking eventually but took me a while even-though I do speak some Spanish and asked several people whose responses were leas than helpful. If parking is this convoluted maybe a valet service could be offered. There was enough staff standing around doing nothing.
After searching and finally finding what I thought was the parking lot I walked back to no greeting or explanation of what to do. There was several staff but they did not care to explain what to do to get to the clubhouse.
Once there and signed in you are told you have to pay $20 USD for a caddy. Which is fine but tell people upfront. Where is that mentioned on Golf Now?
The course layout on the Nayar course is ridiculous. Holes 6-8 were located literally a mile or more from the rest of the course.
On the back nine it looked like the holes had not been changed in a long time.
The caddie was minimally helpful and not overly friendly.
With the exception of the people who took my money nobody at this course was welcoming. Message received and I will not return.
Not as advertised!!!
the course is in horrible shape after just being aerated fairways and greens. un-puttable it is so bumpy. a ridiculous price to pay to play that course. On top of the course being in unplayable shape Vidanta has made it ridiculously hard for local golfers to get to clubhouse with hassles at security. the support staff at the club is amazing but the rest is a royal pain .
G Bday Golf
