Reviews
Very nice course layout.
Was a great experience and unexpected. From the taxi drop off to the proshop and to the 1st tee, I felt like we were driving through Jurassic Park. Beautiful property, wonderful amenities and great staff. Will be back, for sure.
Never again
I let’s start with positives: caddie was fantastic, the facility is great, and the cheese burger was very good. That is where it ends. The check in process is the worst I have ever seen, it took 45 minutes to check us in. Before you discount this as a one off, I have played here 4 times and this is consistently the start of every round. We had to rush down a burger before the round even though we gave ourselves a full 2 hours of buffer time. Rushed a few practice balls but no time to putt. Which was fine as we got to the first hole and quickly found out they had freshly punched and sanded the tee boxes and greens. Greens were terrible and in puttable. Top to t off with all the tee boxes moved forward shorting the course. Then we were gifted 1 par four shortened to an 80 yard par 3. Now again not a one off, there has never been a round here for me where at least one hole was closed
Or shortened.
Bottom line enough is enough, better courses to play in the are. I will ask golf Now one more time. Please find a way to warn your customers of the greens being punched. They are still charging full rack for the round.
Kenp
Back 9 a major disappointed. Won’t play this course again.
Overall Great
Do not follow Golf Now or Google Maps Address, took me 40min to find this course, had to ask an employee from a hotel nearby. Plan to get there 40min before your tee time, you have to park, wait for a cart to get to take you to the range, then wait for a caddy, the golf. Course is flat and easy, caddy is very helpful, please understand they have them for course upkeep and provide jobs for locals, they are not golf experts. Would golf again for hot deal price, not worth paying $125, I got it for $57 booking the night before.
Go early it takes time to get shuttled to the club house, range and finally the first tee
Great course. Plenty of fairway landing room. Great caddie service. Various tee boxes makes play for anyone's ability possible.
Good course but a big pain
Very nice and fun course in pretty good condition. Requires a caddy and is super difficult to get to course because of size of complex. Plan at least an extra 30 min before your round just for the hassle. Caddie experience was not great and wish we could have played without one.
Great way to start the day!
We vacationed with friends for a week at Vidanta-Nuevo Vallarta and began our second day with a round at The Lakes Course. We are casual golfers, although reasonably experienced. The condition of the course was amazing, including impeccably maintained fairways and greens -- far better than any other course I have played. Although the holes are short (irons only), the bunkers and the water make this par-3 course a fun challenge. We packed a bag of used golf balls from home, knowing that we would lose a number to the water . . . and we did. Between the three of us, we managed to lose about 20 balls over the 10-hole course and had a lot of laughs doing so! We also had some great shots over the water features that were personally rewarding. We enjoyed the course so much that we planned to play a second time, but let our pool time get in the way of another round. When we return for another vacation at Vidanta in Nuevo Vallarta, we plan to play this course again.
Disappointed in lack of customer service. Caddy was great and knowledgeable, but not even water was offered it could have been alot better for the price.
Yessssss
Had a great round! Our caddie, Willie, was excellent and the course was beautiful. We ordered lunch to be delivered on course and it was seamless. We were also able to see some wildlife and share some laughs.
Beautiful course. Well groomed! Wide open.
Beautiful course and I will play here again.
One item to note is the course is located within the Vidanta property so if you're not staying in one of the condos, check-in may be lengthy. You have to get dropped off at the central Vidanta drop off, then, you will be carted off to the Club house where you will check-in. You will be carted off again to the range to pick up your caddie, then finally, the course. the whole process without practice took over 40 minutes. So, allow yourself some time. I believe Vidanta recognizes this as they didn't give me a hard time at all as my tee time was at 12:40, I got there at 12:20 but my actual tee off was past 1:20ish.
Mexico Open 2022
I liked the course and the layout but this course needs a lot work to be ready for the Mexico Open. First the second bridge needs to be built. The Two holes that are under construction need to be completed. The sand traps need more sand.
Once these minor details are fixed then the tour pours will eat this course up!
Vista Vallarta again
Love the two courses at Vista Vallarta. Over the years have played them both many times. Both are great course. Pick one and play, have fun!
Golf
Very nice track, course was in excellent conditions, four caddy was very helpful. The Pro-shop desk was not very friendly or helpful. Rental clubs were sub par, for what they charged. I will play again if I can get a good rate.
No bueno
the conditions of the course do not reflect the 160 USD fee. there are several municipal courses for half the price that are in much better shape. the caddies are friendly and frankly the better part of the round. the cart amenities lacked any alternatives. overall not a course I will return to
