Reviews
Nice greens
Overall nice course caddy was a little grouchy shot a 75 so a good day!
Hole closures - caddie’s
We purchased our round using Golf Now. When we arrived at the course we were joined up with caddy which we found out on our way to hole #1. We were not notified that there would be a mandatory caddy at an additional cost at the pro shop during checking in or on the Golf Now website. During our round we were notified that hole #11 was closed and that we could play 2 balls on 17 to compensate for the closure. On our way to hole #12 the par 4 was modified to be a 90 yard hole for all tees red to black. Again no mention of this at the pro shop or on Golf Now. I have played many golf courses around the world and have never been so disappointed in the lack of communication. I would not recommend this course as they appear to have no regard for their paying clients.
Awesome Experience
Greg Norman course at Vidanra was an Absolutely Wonderful Experience. Right from the Shuttle out to the Pro Shop. Get there early as it may take up to 1/2 hour to be picked up. Driving range was Awesome . Mandatory Caddie required $350 pesos , well worth it to read the greens and club choice for wind conditions. Course had many temporary hazards (Ground Under Repair) from the hurricane. Also getting ready for PGA Tournament in April.
Getting ready for the Mexican PGA
Getting ready for the Mexican PGA. Much construction and improvements being done to accommodate the PGA in April
Nice round, crazy check-in
Enjoyed my first round at this course with a couple of friends.
Not quite complete but a mad scramble was on to get ready for a PGA event in April.
Mandatory caddy - Jesus was awesome and a lot of fun. He knows the greens!
Read the reviews about a brutal check in process- oh ya.
We were stopped off at the ‘gathering place’ 1 hour ahead of our tee time. Waited 25 minutes for a golf cart to drive us another 10 minutes to check in. 30 minutes later we drove another 10 minutes to Hole 1. No warmup, no putting. Still had fun though!
Gypsy
Excellent golf, fun and professional caddie. Well groomed course. Need a lounge for golfers after the game to have a drink/snack. Preferably at the pro shop area!!
Great course and caddie
If you have the opp to get Campos as your caddie, do it! He’s very knowledgeable of the course and knows how to properly read a green. Ended up with the best score I’ve ever gotten thanks to him.
Horrible conditions
My grandson and I were extremely disappointed, we were told they were running very late not enough golf carts upon arrival.
There were 4 holes that were closed for repair
The bunkers were closed as they are rebuilding them
The greens were recently aerated we were not advised of any of the course issues, which I’m shocked GolfNow was not aware of !!!
I think we should have been credited for the conditions of the course and for really taking away from my grandson and myself day together.
There are other courses that we could have played that would not have disappointing
I am truly disappointed with GolfNow for not making us aware of the conditions
The course was overbooked, there was ONLY 14 holes that were as designed 3 holes closed and 1 par 4 hole was made into a 70 yard hole
I think it is a rip off to pay well over $250 for a course that is not played as designed by GREG NORMAN
Still under construction for the Mexico open. Greens are punched and running at an 8. Course layout changes and holes still being built make it difficult to play for $180. Can see it being great but I would play vista Vallarta.
Norman Course
Was not in very good condition due to getting ready for PGA Tour event, lots of bunkers out of play, some holes played as short holes due to construction, pretty disapppointing given Normans name on course.
