The third, a dogleg left of 376, typifies most of the holes on this course: not long, but challenging in other ways. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/13/2022

Seven ( # 3 index) seems like one of the best par-4’s in Connecticut. This photo doesn’t reveal just how tough it is to make a par here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/13/2022

Eleven is another great hole, its protected green seen here in the shadows. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/13/2022

This sprawling bunker flanking the right side of hole 11 is typical of the challenges abounding on these eighteen. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/22/2020

The fourteenth green, at 560 yards, will take two Herculean shots to reach in two, but anything less may find its way into the small brook before it. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/22/2020

Nice very shorter par 4 s. Many bad golfers think they can reach green in two…but can’t. This slows pace a little but generally a nice track. I will go back.
Pleasantly suprised
For this price i expected much less. I liked every hole, and the conditions were excellent.
Let Twosomes Thru
Would have been a 5-star sweep except the foursome in front of us would not let us play through. Unfortunately, the other twosome did not show up. Not our fault. We easily could have played thru the foursome in front starting on 6th hole. Then on 7, 8, 9, 10. You get the picture. But they claimed no where to go as they were keeping pace with foursome in front. But there were 2 holes open in front of that foursome. A foursome should never hold up a twosome that is constantly waiting on them each shot.
Great Day
Course in excellent shape. Pace of play better than I’ve experienced there before. Repairs on 4 and 8 are finished and the holes are back to normal. Ver enjoyable round.
Nice greens
The course is quirky and has a lot of play but it is in good shape! The greens are always nice, slower sometimes, but always nice.
Pace
Pace of play is the biggest problem here. Course is fine, greens were slow
Challenging but playable course
Enjoyed a round with another single golfer. Course including the greens are well maintained. My only complaint is the exit off the cart paths unto the fairways was quite rough.
Sloooow
Everything was good with the round except the pace of play. Almost 5 hrs to play 18. As a threesome that’s way too long. Group in front of us must have lost 2-3 dozen balls between them.
Slow pace on Weekend
Very slow pace on weekend. Course management tried to keep the pace but only helped a little. I have played there during the week and the pace was good!
Please!! No Beginners on Difficult Courses
I was a Member of Norwich GC years ago. I have always loved this course for it's challenge and variety. Saw a Tee-Off or Golf-Now deal at 3:30pm on a Saturday, and took it. Carts have to be back in at 8pm, so pace of play needs to be not worse than a four-and-a-half hour round. Easily done. But it was like beginner-paloosa that day. Had to skip holes three times and only got to play 14 holes. Not such a great deal, then. I don't want to pay *double* to play earlier, so I guess I won't be playing Norwich again.
Why not? So you can go nowhere due to having to play through several foursomes?
The golf course scheduled you in, and you had two no shows, don't see how you expect to speed up your pace of play, are you in a hurry to get back to work?
Take your time, hit two balls, or practice, but letting you play through is getting you in 15 minutes earlier than the foursome in front of you at their expense. You were just going to wait at the next hole.
