The third, a dogleg left of 376, typifies most of the holes on this course: not long, but challenging in other ways. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/13/2022

Seven ( # 3 index) seems like one of the best par-4’s in Connecticut. This photo doesn’t reveal just how tough it is to make a par here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/13/2022

The fourteenth green, at 560 yards, will take two Herculean shots to reach in two, but anything less may find its way into the small brook before it. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/22/2020

Regular place to Play
Have played this course many times. Been better conditions this year. They have really been stepping up to make nicer. As with most places, could use more water, but they do well with what they have. Pace of play right at 4 hours. Course plays well from Blues or whites. It was hot yesterday to be walking, but with covid, no club so I guess it’s a good deal of exercise.
Rec
Course was in good shape
Fairways and greens were well kept
Great course to play
No rangers and play was very slow, stacked up after 5th hole
New pond
I must say that after the new pond was put in I was blown away of how well the course looked like and Played. Greens were in incredible shape and rolled nice and the rough was full and thick. A wonderful challenge for early season play. I would recommend to all to come play this track
Short but challenging
My first time playing Norwich & thoroughly enjoyed this course. Tee'd off at noon on a Monday, Pace of play was great for the first 10 holes & slowed considerably from hole 11 on, finished in 3:45. Course layout is interesting, greens are small & were fastest I've played this year, rough was punitive in spots (thick & long - US open like is some spots around greens). Mounding, bunkers, rough, & small greens place a premium on accuracy at this course. This combination is likely to lead to slow rounds on the weekends & holidays.
Holes 11 & 15 have undergone construction recently -
11th hole has a new pond to right of fairway & right rough was just starting to grow in, marked as ground under repair.
15th hole Tee box was closed & had a temporary tee @ only ~ 90 yards
Hometown Course
Always nice for me to return to my hometown course. It's in great shape and the virus precautions were very apparent. It is a very challenging course with a beautiful layout. Always worth the trip for me.
Well done in every regard.
Course conditions and layout are nice. Lunch on the deck after playing was good food at a fair price.
Best weather this year for the northeast...
The course was in good condition...all social distance protocols were maintained. Greens were punched some time ago and have not fully recovered but roll quite true. There has been some new course construction that has caused the 15th hole...a par 3...to be unplayable. Overall a good value on a perfect spring day.
Fun Track
The greens were perfect and very fast. I was getting a really true roll. $16th green was very difficult. The course layout is excellent. The course conditions were average. One hole was under construction. I did not know until I got to the back 9 and saw the construction.
Great course
I really like this course. Only one hole is obnoxious - a par 3 with the hole 60' above the tee box. Most holes are great. The greens are challenging but fair (and in great shape!)
It was a great day of golf!
Norwich CC
The greens were perfect. fast and smooth. The overall conditions of the course was average. This is a good layout - fun track. There is one hole under construction. I did not know until I was on the course. I went there because there was no golf open in Massachusetts. I played Norwich about 15-20 years ago and the conditions were better then.
First Round of Year
Staff was very friendly, one person in shop at time. Person cleaning carts when round over. The course was doing all they could do with what is going on, which was good to see. As for the course it was in good shape. The greens had just been punched, small holes so as for the putting it wasn’t bad they still rolled nice. Not to long, but fun course. Will play again.
Very nice course! Nice, fun layout!
Course was in fine shape. A fun layout. Very playable. Would definitely recommend!
