The third, a dogleg left of 376, typifies most of the holes on this course: not long, but challenging in other ways. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/13/2022

Seven ( # 3 index) seems like one of the best par-4’s in Connecticut. This photo doesn’t reveal just how tough it is to make a par here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/13/2022

Worth the travel
I ended up playing with 3 individuals who all had came out as a single and got along great. The course was in great shape for this time of year and the greens were also in great shape. The ranger had to break up one group, it really didn't effect us, but was good to know when pace is slowed. I would definitely recommend this course, which is also a stone throw away from Mohegan Casino
This course was in good shape for this early in the year
Course was in good shape, enjoyed playing it and would have enjoyed it even more if I would have played better.
Solid Course
The course layout is fun and challenging. Tee boxes and fairways were in decent shape and greens were excellent. Paid $20 per person for 18 holes with a cart, and you can't beat that with a stick. Recommend and will be back.
Challenging muni
I have played this course numerous times yet it still proves to be a challenging layout. Great muni course, great staff
beautiful course
course in excellent condition. first time playing. found greens very challenging. very nice layout.
Greens
The greens have recovered nicely from last winter
Course with variations
Good course with different variations. Staff was rude. After playing 18 staff walked up to us and requested we give cart back ASAP. I asked what the big deal was because when I got it they said it needs to be back at 5:30pm and it was only 4:30pm. He said we finished our round so we had to give it back. He was very aggressive and rude.
Wonderful course
Scenic and challenging course. Our only problem was we had a hard time finding our balls but maybe it was the direction of the sun (mid-day). Staff was very helpful and friendly. Really good value for such a fun and enjoyable course.
Always good
Norwich is always in pretty good shape, especially with how much play it gets. Pace is not the best due to new bees. Greens were on the slow side for norwich, usually above average in speed.
Disappointing
From the moment I stepped on the course, me and my gps disagreed on where I was standing. For a muni course, it was in fair shape, given the time of year but the design felt like someone just dropped a course on the side of a hill.
The greens had just been aerated, making the round worse.
Lost my interest after 10 holes...
Norwich Golf Course
Fairways and greens were well manicured and in very good condition apparently result of watering during the scourging hot weather. Bunkers were harsh - not raked and course with pebbles. Pace of play was excellent. Overall an enjoyable round on a good course and would recommend - plan to return soon.
Good course if your at the Casinos
It was hot! The weather has not been great for course conditions and it showed. The greens were really beat up and the lies on and of the fairways were not great. I liked the layout. The par 4s were all pretty easy. The par 5s played as 3 shot holes for me. The par 3s (three on the back 9) were all pretty different. I was paired up with 3 other people who were all nice. The staff were all great. Pace of play was good. We were actually a little slow. I scored well which is nice. I will give it another try in the future but not until we get some rain.
Great course
One of my favorite public courses. Challenging but playable. I enjoy letting it rip on the long par 5s
Nice Public Track
My wife and I enjoyed the somewhat challenging course. Variety of uphill and downhill shots to smallish greens. Tee box and fairways could use some TLC, greens were fine. The staff was friendly and the Caddy Shack Pub/restaurant was very good. GOLFNOW.COM hot deal made it a good value.
Disappointing
My husband and I booked a tee time here on a quick trip to Mohegan Sun. The staff was friendly. Unfortunately there was a member championship tournament in the morning. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes. We are used to planying public courses and long rounds but this was disappointing as we had to wait between each shot. especially for the 60 per person. We quit after 10 holes. The course is in ok shape for a public course. You need to search for yardage markers. Greens are ok. Sand traps are full of rocks. Will not go back again
Great place to play a round
Norwich is an old style Donald Ross design that retains its heritage. Most of the course is in front of you. Not too long from the back, be prepared to play for position off the tee on some holes. Greens were great, fairways great, tees not too bad (a few were thin). Pace of play was great and the staff are super.
Good Round
Course and greens in very good condition. Only complaint is they would NOT allow 3 carts (per hole) on course. So if you get teamed up with some one you have to ride with them or they with you. Plenty of carts just a stupid rule for this course.
Good layout and conditions
Nice conditions and good layout. Holes changed up so not boring back and forth. Some challenging greens. Overall a course worth playing
Great value for a great course
Course was in great condition, was able to get right out and pace of play was good, finished foursome in four hours. Looking to play there again soon
Course not bad, but pace of play was.
Course in okay shape, really liked the greens. Rolled slow, but true. Tee boxes and fairways were pretty good. A little more hardpan in the rough than I'd like to see, but good for distance.
The one problem was pace of play. The way the first couple holes are set up (Short Par 4, Driveable Par 4, Dogleg Par 4) lends itself to a logjam. The problem was compounded by the groups in front of us merging into a six-some. I had read about this in earlier reviews but apparently management turns a blind eye to this? Because it happened to us as well.
If you stay out of bounds, it's not a tough course. Good for all skill levels. The pro was very nice when I arrived, giving me advice on the greens and sending our group off quickly.
19th hole staff was very nice too. Liked the $1 mini Coors Lights.
