Good vacation option. Not difficult. Plays quickly. Good bar. No issues here and will go again.
My opportunity to play one round on a family vacation
We had heavy thunderstorms in the afternoons prior to the day playing Bear Trap. Course was very wet in the fairways, and cart path only. Greens and tee boxes were in great shape. No fault of the course, just dealing with late summer weather. Staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The course was a nice variety of holes and scenery. Played as a single and was paired with another single and a double who were great to play with. Very enjoyable day. Thanks.
Bear down!
Played Grizzly and Kodiak 9s. Greens were in excellent shape. Very friendly and professional staff, finished 18 holes just under 4 hours.

Despite the drought, course was in good condition. The greens and fairways we good. Tees and roughs were showing some signs of drought but still very playable. Played as a twosome on a pretty busy day and still made it around in 3 1/2 hours. Good day!
Great layout
Even after a night of rain and cloudy skies the course was in great shape.
Many holes are straight aways; however, the dunes, sand traps and pin placements made the course challenging and fun to play. The greens were in great condition after one of the hottest weeks of the year and a night of heavy rains.
The benefit of having three 9-hole courses allows for Bear Trap Dunes to control the pace of play - I played the Kodiac and Black Bear 9s. I was in a twosome and we had a two hole buffer between the next group.
The staff was friendly and I will be returning.
Another great round at Bear Trap
Played with my dad for the $65 rate after 3 PM. My family has a home here and we are seasonal residents. My dad and I play this course almost every weekend in the summer, and come away more and more impressed each time we play. From the moment you step on the property, the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff is second to none. The clubhouse is beautiful, the practice area is the best at the shore, and the course is in phenomenal shape from tee to green. The 19th hole isn’t bad either, as the full service bar and food selection is excellent for a golf course. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to enjoy a nice afternoon on the course, regardless of skill level. It is absolutely worth the price of admission.
Great
Awesome, cart path only because of rain, but all around wonderful!
Fun course
I often play as a single and the staff are excellent at either pairing me up with other players or allowing me to play as a single on whichever 9 isn't crowded.
The course was in excellent condition with moderately paced greens.
Always a beautiful course to play
some very big greens, a little bit of everything s far as water holes, pin placement, traps, trees etc...I am not good golfer by any means, but one of my favorite courses to play. Grass was high today which made it extra challenging. Never a bad choice for a round of golf.
3 good nines.
Played black bear and grizzly. A few days before we played they plugged all the
greens, they forgot to mention that to us. Course in good shape for all the rain they had. We got paired up with 2 guys who wanted to play the blended tees. Par threes were all good, lots of bunkers, lots of water.
