About Dothan National Golf Club and Hotel
The discovery of a natural hot spring in the 1960s inspired the birth of The Dotham National Golf Club & Hotel. Its hotel and golf course were built shortly afterward. The healing waters of the spring are heated and pumped into an indoor spa pool available only for guests. All the rooms and suites have been updated. Packages can include a breakfast buffet, breakfast and lunch or dinner, too. The 7,425-yard, par-73 course lined by pines has hosted the SEC Championships multiple times.Facts

Always good golf here!
Friendly staff. Course layout is superb in originality. Could use overall master drain plan renewal. Fairways bumpy from fill dirt. Still a great place to play golf and very scenic views. Greens play honest.
Average to below for the Area at Best
Here is what to consider:
1) It's Hott only 1 water cooler on the course with water in it, only 2 available at all.
2)Greens don't roll very well, seems to be under repair:
3)over priced range balls
4) putting area at club house is nice tho.
5)Hard fairways
Course was at a cheap price to play.
The pro shop was not a thing at all.
Cigarettes and trash all over the course itself. Tee time was for 0700 and the shop didn’t even open till 0700
Horrible
I have been playing ⛳ for a long time and this is the worse place I have ever played. The clubhouse smelled like an animal had died there. The guy who checked me in kept coughing and I was worried he would die right in front of me.
The fairways were horrible, the greens were not cut and the experience was depressing. I will never play there again.
Great if you like rock hard
Never again. I’ve played this place 3 or 4 times and the conditions just get worse. No grass in the fairways or on the greens. It’s a joke and needs to be shut down. It’s obvious that ownership doesn’t care about this place. Limbs laying everywhere that is supposed to be the rough. Dirt spots everywhere. Don’t damage your clubs because that’s what you will do here. This whole place sucks.
So much potential.
First time playing this course and came away thinking the place has so much potential that it is just not living up to. Most of the tee boxes were just OK. Not a big concern for me because I always use a tee anyway. Fairways were fair. There is grass in the fairways for the most part but it is spotty in places and sparse in others. Some areas you just need to play by winter rules and find a patch close by to hit from. The bigger problem with a lot of the fairways was the terrain. Some areas with large washout trenches and bare areas that made for an extremely bumpy ride. Just have to go slow and find a way around. Greens were fair to less than fair. Pretty bumpy and hard. Only had one approach where I could find any sign of a pitch mark and my normal ball flight is pretty high. Just have to realize some putts aren't going in because half way to the hole it will hit a bump or depression in the green and get knocked offline. Carts were less than desirable. I think every single cart I saw had a large chunk of seat cushion missing from the front corner. My cart had no sand bottles or bucket to repair divots. It did get me around the 18 holes without dying though so bonus there. The course has a great layout and shows that it could be a super nice facility if only had the resources to put a little more into it. For the price it's not horrible as long as you go in knowing it's not going to be a high level playing surface basically from tee to green. Would I go back, yes. Would I recommend you try it, yes. Would it be my first choice, probably not.
War zone
1st the goods news, over all track and layout were not awful, but as for course conditions and upkeep , what a travesty. Worst conditions I ever saw on a golf course. Bare spots throughout the fairways, and where there was suppose to be grass was weeds and crabgrass. Bunkers were decent but the greens were laughable. Grass on the greens were as long as the fairways, if the fairways would have had some sort of grass. Ditches and ruts just outside the fairways. One ditch almost flipped my cart over, luckily I was able to save myself. No exaggeration here the course should be made into a place for cows to graise
