Always A Great Experience
Course has picturesque views from most all tees, fairways or greens with excellent putting greens. Course offers a Challenging layout from all tee boxes. Very good reasonably priced food is in the onsite grill. It is my favorite course to play and I drive 35 minutes one way to get there.
Better then there sister course.......
Heard the greens were nice....very firm but putt well....speedy.....Fairways are really nice and the tee boxes are very appropriate even for the ladies.......BTW open the stupid clubhouse......Have to ride 2 to a cart but check in at a window......kinda redneck.......and one sided.......by the way Full rate is overpriced but a good $30 to $35 track...........
Good morning of golf
Had a good time today teed off at 7:40 the pace of lay was good and the course was in excellent condition. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
Great Course with Some Difficulty
Looked around my area for a course I had not played before and saw the reviews for this course. I was surprised how well maintained and upkept the course was. Greens looked like they might be slow but were pretty quick. The greens were a little hard but made the course a bit more difficult as the tee shots weren't too demanding and there are areas you can miss and be fine. As a scratch golfer I played from the black tees and really enjoyed the round. I would recommend going out and playing this course. I'm sure I'll go back and play again in the future.
Great course for all level of golfers
This was my first time playing and I enjoyed it! The course was in great shape and it played excellent. My only complaint is there was no starter so we had to wait to tee off 15 minutes after our tee time but after we got moving it was a good pace of play
Course had “army worms” or the worms that eat root systems. However the grounds crew was doing everything possible to kill the pests. Outside of that couldn’t ask for more. Greens still pure as ever. Little slower than usual on pace for their greens but still nice.
Side window
I’m not sure I quite understand the “side window”……. When we checked in, the guy did not even offer to let us know if we needed any food items or pro shop items we could purchase them through “the window”…….. perhaps the window is due to Covid??? If so, I am having a hard time understanding why the staff member was not wearing a mask, why he stuck his head up to and almost through the window. If the side window was NOT because of COVID, it was a great inconvenience for those of us who needed balls and like to purchase souvenirs. I felt the customer service was lacking. No warning that the greens had just been punched/ aerated. We didn’t know where to return the the cart when we finished. .
Excellent course
Very well conditioned course with beautiful views of the lake. It’s kind of neat how you are seeing the lake on nearly every hole but you only go over a finger of the lake on one par three shot. Greens were fast and true.
Good wide fairway golf.
Don't go the HWY 35 route if you can help it. This course is just off HWY 72 and HWY 79. Just outside Scottsboro, Alabama.
Love playing here!
The course was in great shape. We had a threesome and we finished in 3 and a half hours. The greens were almost perfect. They just need a little more time to recover from latest maintenance.
The Goose
Course was awesome shape, and pace of play was quick esp for a Sat round.
Way to long for women....
Good solid $30 track......except for women way to long.....My wife hated it driver 3 wood and she can can't get home on par 4 and she hits it further then the average women......women should have an option at 4700 to 4900 to play from not 5300 or mens senior tee is on the same box.....old school......fairways were nice greens for this price not so much.....the shop had nothing but kids running it....hmmm not a great first impression....
