First time
I travel around and enjoy playing new courses. This course was in good condition, liked the view it would probably nice in the fall especially since it so hot in July. The lay out of the course was nice. It was a two hour drive but well worth it. I will be back.
Golf with my dad
Course is in good shape. Greens, tees and fairways are in excellent shape. However, the sand traps are AWFUL. They are totally unplayable. We played on Tuesday. The course is closed for maintenance on Monday. Apparently, that does NOT include sand traps. Also, the course is priced at least 20 percent too high. This FACT may account for the lack of business.
Great course
Played here twice and I love its layout especially the par 3s. Definetly will be back and will be telling my friends about the pacey greens as well.
Great time!
My son and I got there an hour early to putt and just loosen up, but there weren’t many golfers there at that time so the staff let us go ahead and tee it up. Nice course and pretty wide open for the ones with power fades (slicers).
Great Shape
Greens are in the best shape I have seen them at this course. Overall the course is in great shape for the weather we have had recently.
Fantastic greens
The greens at the Point are always in great shape. There are two greens that are not kind to me (#10 and #12) due to their smallish size and/or the way they are laid out for your approach shot. This course is a great value round for the cost. The staff members are always friendly and accommodating. The course can be played fairly to your ability as you have 5 tee box options. This is a good place to play if you are struggling from the tee as it is very open.
Plenty of shots to choose from here
The course is in great shape, very forgiving and challenging at the same time. I'll definetly be booking here again and telling my friends about the goose as well.
Shot-makers course.
Lots of water on course. Most of it in play. Drive the ball long and strong to give yourself a chance at hitting greens in regulation. Lots of elevation change. Be thoughtful in club selection. Greens are big and tough to gage the break thereon. Pitch as close to cup as possible to give yourself a chance of making a put. The scenary on and around the course is beautiful. Make sure you look up and look around. Enjoy the day.
My favorite course
Great course for the average golfer. You get the quality of a high end course without the difficulty.
Always a pleasure.
The wife wanted to play golf on Mothers Day, so I booked The Plantation Course. I still believe this is the best kept golf secret in the area. We literally had the entire course to ourselves, and the course was in wonderful shape. Kudos to the grounds keeping staff.
If you are looking for a great relaxing round of golf without being pushed, or having to wait at every tee-box, then The Plantation Course is for you!
This course is 30-50 yards to long on all the par 4’s and 2 of the par 5’s for the average lady golfer. It is very beautiful and in great shape. Today is the 1st time I have played it and not sure I will play it again because of distance. My husband loved it and senior men probably would for sure because the course for them overall is only 73 yards longer for them then the ladies which is very sad for the ladies. What makes it even worse is that the Golf Operations Manager is a female, you would think she would be more mindful of the ladies then that.
Goose pond plantation
I have played this course a number of times . Greens are in really good shape for this time of year.
Fun course to play
Goose Pond doesn’t disappoint.
Course in great shape. It’s long from the forwards which is a good challenge. Geese everywhere but on the greens. Very impressed. Played three times there and always delivers a fine time.
Always a beautiful place to play with water views on every hole.
Best easy course in the area.
This course is perfect for 15+ handicap player like myself. You get the great quality fairways, greens, tee boxes, etc without the punishing layout from most high quality courses. This course is in phenomenal condition right now.
