Pleasantly surprised!
Good condition and the course lay out was fun with nice tricky greens! Definitely play again. Decent greens and great bunkers
A fun time
The course was in decent shape considering its Aug in Phoenix. The fairways and greens were in good shape. The pace of play was a little slow but later in the day it’s expected.. The stage was very friendly.
Great courses and amenities but pace of play is terrible.
We played Biltmore 2 weeks in a row. The first week we were a 2 some on the estates in the middle of several 4 somes so we expected to be waiting to a certain extent (did not expect a hour round). This week it was all 4 somes on the links course and the problem was worse. On top of the pace we had a group of 3 behind us using us for target practice. We expressed our sincere apologies for holding them up but explained there really was no way for us to play faster while we were sitting on the tee box of a par 3 with 4 groups. They continued the practice until they finally hit one of us on hole 15. They then backed off and did not get near us for the last 4 holes (again a 5 hour round). This is a great facility with very nice courses but with the pace of play we experienced and seemingly no effort from the rangers to try to improve it we will not go back when we can play any number of courses in 4 hours as it should be.
Course Conditions
We were never told that fairways were punched recently. Fairways were not in good playing condition! Fairways were mainly hard pan, not acceptable. I had friend in from out of town and not given information about fairway conditions.
A ranger would be a great addition
We realize that everyone's abilities vary, however, absent golf etiquette, a ranger would help greatly with pace of play when an entire golf course is being held up by one foursome. It would go a long way toward promoting happy golfers on the course while not impacting the one foursome's enjoyment. If anything, they might enjoy their round more because they wouldn't be faced with the stress of looking back on every shot and seeing someone waiting for them to hit. Absent that, The Biltmore golf was a fun experience.
Great Layout, will get better this summer
Always love coming to the Biltmore courses. This first hard wave of heat pounded it a bit, but I’m sure it’ll bounceback. Greens were slower than normal, but again, it’ll improve.
We’ll be back.
Simply the best and worth every penny to play
I use dot e member here and miss it more than anything and any course. Chad has been there forever and has always been an amazing to person with great customer service skills. The new restaurant, clubhouse and the redesign of the Adobe course is just a wonderful upgrade. I just love this place and it all always have a special place in my heart.
