Arizona Golf Resort & Event Center is located in Mesa near Arizona State University and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. This 200-room property features banquet and wedding space and its own 18-hole golf course and practice center. Rooms types range from a studio double at 518 square feet to a three-room Casita King concept over 700 square feet, as well as a 1100-square-foot Presidential Suite. The golf course opened in 1960 and is a traditional design stretching to 6,601 yards by Jack Snyder. In addition to the main pool there are multiple jacuzzis throughout the property.Facts

Another beautiful day in Phoenix
As always we enjoyed another great vacation day in 80° weather. Though we did have to wait on almost every shot, we still got around in 4hrs.. I'm sure it's hard for all courses during pandemic. I know it's difficult to have a mix of twosomes, threesomes and foursomes & not have time issues. It was nice to finally see a few rakes out there though I might have been the only one using them- understandable. We'll be back!

The course is in fair shape. The bunkers were wet and sloppy. There were wet areas all over the course.
At the starters post at the first tee, we were instructed to keep pace and give way to faster players. After waiting for 2 groups at every tee box, we reached the 9th hole and decided to skip it and head straight to the 10th. Having teed of and being within a chip on this par 5 hole, a guy from the pro shop chased us and started to scold us for doing so as an elderly gent and his 2 lady friends whom we had to wait for as they hit the ball 80 feet at a time complained. He ranted on about timing and such defending them. He then made us go all the way back behind them. Noting that there was no course Marshall and that his starter had advised us on pace of play, we had decided to skip a hole. He ranted about 2 groups on the tee box to which I explained it had been that way since hole 1. He was having nothing of it. We finished our round and left. The round took 4.5 hours and he said he was ok with that.

Fast greens and nice fairways.
Old school.course with a simple layout. Longer par 3's.
Greens were very fast and not receptive to mid distance attacks. It was like a links coure from that standpoint. Hit short of the green and pray.
I will play again. Great staff, nice restaurant.

Wet in many places. No water in the ball washers. Sand traps haven't been raked in weeks.

Good price snail pace
Got a great deal for an afternoon of golfing but when the staff is only at the first hole, the other golfers turn into a frenzy and free for all. We probably waited at least 20 minutes to start each hole as the people in front of us took turns hitting 4 balls each and then searching for them the entire time. Also it was very poorly spaced out as we thought of trying to go around the two people in front of us only to find out there were at least 2 groups ahead of them moving at a snails pace. Started at 2:15 and by 5:30 we had to call it only completing 14 holes because the sun went down.

Golf!!
My goal is to golf and this course provided a fun day for that. The fairways were in places a bit dry but the greens were nice and consistent and I loved the lay out. No Marshall and the group in front of us was very slow but it was a great day in the course and what else do we need right now. I will play here again!!

Played here two weeks ago. Greens are faster! Course in great shape except for occasional wet areas.
The staff today were all amazing! From the initial greeting, to the hospitality cart person, the cart check guy and finally the bar tender. All seemed happy to be there and were helpful and enjoyable. Thanks to you all!

Terrible
We played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Our tee time was 25 minutes late. They allowed a 5-some (FIVESOME) to play which held back the groups following There was no marshal on the course in the afternoon and the course itself has very many dirt areas that need to be addressed. I would not recommend Arizona Golf Resort to anyone.

Tee times were 30 minutes behind. There was no effort made to speed up the slow players. They even allowed a 5 some to go off ahead of us.
