Things To Know Before You Book
The staff here always tries to cram people into your tee time — regardless if the group before or after you didn’t book the same time slot as you. Also, they’ll (the staff) flat-out lie to you and tell you that your tee time was 10 min ahead/delayed of the time you booked, just to cram you with another 1/2/3 people. If this helped with the pace of play I wouldn’t mind, but I ended up playing a 5 hour round and the Marshall driving around never did a thing about all the slow play. The green on hole 1 is always in terrible condition; you’d think they figure it out after a season or two. The course is great value, but the people running the operation are terrible and make you never want to return.
5 hour round
A 5 hour round of golf is unenjoyable and unacceptable!
We enjoyed the round, love the brand new golf carts with GPS on
Phoenix Four
Course was beautiful, disappointed with construction on the second fairway reducing it to literally a par three. No mention of this made at the time of booking.
Awful Conditions, Awful Pace of Play
First time here and will NOT be back. Abysmal conditionals with first patches on the greens and fairways. Non existent fringe and construction zones on holes. We left after 12 holes as 3 hours had already passed. 5 hour rounds are unacceptable. Save your money and look elsewhere for a quality round of golf.
Hole in One
Couldnt even finish round where I got first hole in one due to a group of 6 and 9 in front of us. No ranger on site and clubhouse said there was nothing they could do
Great Staff…Inconsiderate Golfers
Great beginning experience with bag drop and having our bags ready in the cart.
Big hit was in pace of play. Tee time 2:50 with carts in by 6:10. Went in knowing we only had 3 hours and 20 mins to play and thought we’d at least get in 14-15 holes. By hole 7 it was evident that the selfishness of multiple groups ahead of us would not allow for it.
There were multiple groups playing with more than 4 golfers, and not just 1 or 2 more. There were multiple 8-9 person groups in addition to 5 player groups. There was no Marshall on course. To regulate and we only got to play 12 holes. We pushed it to 6:00 to leave 10 mins to get carts in so in 3:10 mins we only got 12 in.
Clubhouse offered no relief when we returned and complained since management has already left. I would play here again, but leave extra time for unruly golfers.
Horrible greens
The greens are in terrible condition with burn spots and The Fringe is horrible with weeded grass not cut very hard to get a true putt due to conditions..
Could not finish last three holes, was told to leave with plenty of time left to finish the last holes because carts had to be in by 6:00pm.
Different, quirky, difficult
Lots of elevation changes, not huge but plentiful and they get your attention. Lots of stance issues.
If you spray the ball around, it could be a long day. Conditions were pretty decent, staff was very accommodating. Bar was comfortable and quick.
Debris
I realize this course is surrounded by the public but it seems that abit of effort to deal with the debris that is scattered by inconsiderate asshokes makes the surrounding common areas look more cosmeticly appealing.
Kamal
Newly discovered gem in Phoenix area. Would love to again .
