Beautiful and varied course
Really fun and beautiful course, two very different nines with both resort and desert feels. Very friendly and professional staff, good value for the price except no good practice areas.
Bummer
Did not know it was listed as temporary greens. I believe that 50% of the greens are either bare, growing crab grass or weed and being treated. I suggest you check with the clubhouse on the green conditions. everywhere else on the course looked good.
Disgraceful
don’t play here. greens aren’t overseeded and there’s WEEDS all over them. tee boxes are a disaster. pace of play sucks. $11 for a miller lite. absolute joke of an experience and shameful greed from management. this place used to be pretty good but it’s awful now. shame on the GM whoever that is. a pathetic display of greed. cool for you golf is popular and you can take advantage of customers to pad your pocket. what a joke.
Nice views on many holes.
Course in good shape. Greens very HARD. Need to water. For $100 it was a fairly good deal.
Great Round!
I always enjoy Arizona Grand. Overall great conditions, but the greens were a bit bumpy and faster than usual.
There's always a bunch of goose poop on holes 2-4.
I went out as a single @ 7:15 am and caught up to a 4-some the 3rd tee box and then a 2-some on hole 10.
I'm a 13 handicapl and I shot +8 (so a great day for me) and even better, it only took 2:15 for the round!!!
Canucks in AZ
Great course and we will play again. Very friendly staff. The condition of the course was unremarkable. Use the GPS as it shows all obstacles. Enjoy 😊
Needs work
Have always loved playing here until this time.
The greens were terrible. Wasn't told this when we booked or when we checked in. When asked after done playing what happened to the greens was told they have a virus and that they need to dig them up and build new greens. Additionally, the marshall started hounding us on the 4th hole telling us we were 2 holes behind and we needed to pick up pace of play. He came by 3 holes later and told us the same thing. We finished the front 9 in under 2 hours and completed 18 holes in under 4 hours. For goodness sake, were we supposed to run? The marshall and the conditions of the course did not make for a fun day. Please do better Arizona Grand.
Course had no rangers out during our round. One of our foursome was bitten by a dog on the 6th hole. Course has no signs telling residents that course is for golfers only. Security came out and took statement on incident and comped the round for player bitten, but did nothing for the rest of the foursome as we had to stop play for 45 minutes to deal with security. Declined to file police report due to being on vacation and the time it would have taken as we had a 2nd tee time. If they want to treat the course as a resort, they need to be more proactive on trespassing by others and their pets.
Great course
Great resort, great course and conditions. Love to play here.
Too many blind spot and too short
Course was nice but it was next to not so good apartment and busy street. Very noisy in certain hole. Very short with too many blind spot. I must think very hard to place again at this course spending $200.00 The greens were very sandy and not pressed at all.
Good value and convenient location
The greens are definitely an issue and they were a bit rough, but for a twilight rate of under $50, you for get a fair bit of bang for your buck. The course isn't too taxing and you do not need to be a long hitter, but there are plenty of hazards to keep you on your toes. We started at 2.40pm and got through 14 holes. We could have done 15 and, without a fairly slow group ahead, we might have finished. I can see how pave of play might be an issue for some, but I was quite happy with it.
Not what is used to be…
Played here in the late 90s early 2000s a lot. Course up keep is not what it used to be. Greens were covered in green dye or fertilizer. T boxes were a mess. Still had some cool holes, but value has dropped, as golf course is now likely an after thought, because they will always get dads staying at the resort who will want to play regardless of course conditions. Miss the mango flavored towels too.
