Canoa Ranch Golf Resort

Course layout is good. Fairways generally in good shape. Great views. Only downside for me is condition of sand traps. Rocks with very little sand. Unplayable. Groups I play with generally take relief without penalty from the traps.

Was impressed with the course and playing conditions. The bunkers appear to be under repair and virtually unplayable.

The course fairways are reasonably good but sand traps are more like gravel pits. There are areas in front of the greens which are unplayable.

I am not a fussy whiner. Small issues dont register when I am having a great time golfing and the scenery is beautiful! …And the service is friendly… Love this course!

Best I have seen it over the years. They have done quite a bit of work. It appears they are trying to do something with the sand bunkers? No sand in them. Water and pig excrement in some of them. Avoid at all costs!!!

Canoa Ranch was well overseeded. Greens are not overly fast but are smooth and held well struck approach shots. They were medium speed. Most fairways were in good shape with overseed. Bunkers are still a problem at this course. Really no sand at all. Still good value and pace of play was excellent.

Having a ladies golf tournament proceeding our tee time totally screwed up our round . This tournament (shot gun ) made us 15 min late teeing off then following beginner players for the next 11 holes put us back 2 hours. Poor planning

The course has a few wonky holes. 18 is a very odd finishing hole. The fairways are great and I liked the greens but the sand traps are just not fair. It is best just to take the ball out.

Fortunately the foursome in front of us let us play through as there was two full open holes ahead of them. We waited every shot on the front 9.
