Morning view down the Par-5 5th fairway. A strong drive, especially to the center-right fairway, sets you up to go for the green in two! Photo submitted by vmustang on 04/25/2021

Course is just good right now
Played on 12/19, just two of us. Course seemed a little dried out considering the canals are full. Lots of divots in the fairways, golfers need to fill them when waiting on the people ahead and also need to rake in the bunkers after using them. Pace of play seemed slow but we were done in 4hrs. Marshal was around a couple of times and very polite-would like to see them also pick up garbage that lies around considering the multi million dollar homes around the course. There was a beverage cart. The staff is great! Recommend playing as it’s enough of a challenge even being mostly flat.
Nice place to play
All staff members were very friendly and helpful.
Greens: very consistent and in good shape. People need to repair their own ball marks.
Fairways: grass was a little thin. Too much water in some areas.
Bunkers: sand was not deep but they were consistent. Well raked out by other golfers.
Tee boxes: were level but worn.
I would recommend this course.
Booked round without knowledge of a tournament
I booked a round and wasn’t aware there was a tournament. They tourney was running behind schedule which out my tee time behind. The pace was stupid slkw. Took nearly three hours to finish 9 holes. I planed my day around a 3.5-4 round and had to leave at the turn to make my other plans. Asked about rain checking the remaining 9. I live in Tucson so it’s now like I could just finish out the round and still make my plans..but the guy in the shop
Was rude and pretty much just threw a card at me and said call this number.
Don’t know if I’m coming back to this course..
An offer I couldn't Refuse
Can't lose a ball inbounds unless you roll into one of the many aqueducts cutting across the fairways.
We plan on playing there again when we return this winter
Greens a bit bumpy
Fun course. A go to for me. Greens a bit bumpy but nothing out of ordinary. Course in good shape for season
First time
Very nice course but very dry. Pace of play was rather slow 4:30.
Nice traditional course
Played 12/5, able to use cart on course now. Paired with father and son, delightful people. Recently mowed so lots of clumping. Disappointed to see a lot of the fairways drying out with dead grass. Could use watering. Bunkers need sand. Staff is excellent! Pace of play slightly slow but picked up back nine. Beverage cart was frequent. We like this course as it’s traditional and just enough challenge. Would like to see marshals picking up trash on their way through.
A Desert Course with a Traditional feel
An old traditional style golf course that is fairly flat in its layout. Huge Pine Trees line the fairways. If not for the desert heat you would think that the course you're playing was somewhere in the Midwest. I would definitely recommend this course.
always nice
This course for the last several years has not disappointed.
San Marcos
Course is in great shape. Always worth the drive from Scottsdale.
Golf fun
Decent for the money, staff folks were great, had breakfast it tooo was great, pace a little slow, course conditions were ok
