Morning view down the Par-5 5th fairway. A strong drive, especially to the center-right fairway, sets you up to go for the green in two! Photo submitted by vmustang on 04/25/2021

San Marcos
My wife and I love this track. It's a drive from Scottsdale but for the money WELL worth it. Tree lined fairways remid us of the midwest
Narrow greens
This is a real fun course to olay. Not special, but cost is reasonable and layout is challenging enough to be fun. There are lots of trees that line the fairways snd a few that present strategic hazards on approach shots, so plan your drive accordingly.
The greens are mostly small, and well protected by bunkers, making for narrow targets. There is also a creek that comes into play on several holes.
The day i played, the bathrooms were out of order, so there were no facilities open on the back. Plan accordingly.
Really a fun place to play and an easy walk.
Post over seed Pace Decent
The course was in overall good condition, hovering the grass had been cut, but there were huge chunks of wet grass everywhere. Also, the rough had grown quite thick and deep. There is no reason for the rough to be that deep. Quite often we would have to be right on top of our golf ball before we’d find them.
The halfway shack was not open on a day that exceeded 100 degrees. The beverage cart came around infrequently, and the person working was not terribly attentive. My friend bought a couple gatorades and a couple of candy bars. They drove off without giving him the candy bars. We had to chase her down to get them.

Love this track. Course is in GREAT condition. I wish we lived closer but it is always worth the drive as the value is phenomenal
