Almost perfect

The staff was very accommodating, the course, being a Pete Dye course Is an Engineering win, carving a course out of the desert, and the conditions were very well except for the speed of the greens. I believe they were not cut short to prevent them from scorching in the hot summer heat. It created somewhat of a bouncy, slow roll for puts. I would recommend a visit here any day of the week, but if you have a lot of stray shots, the carts will not go into the desert, so bring some extra balls! The course was fair, were very well designed, and my experience in Phoenix was all the more enhanced by golfing the Champions course.

Fun layout, good shape.

Course was in great shape for this time

of year. Challenging, but fair. Pace of play was excellent, not many people out. Greens were in good shape, fairways solid. Only issue was that most of the water jugs were empty, which is not ideal when it’s nearly110 degrees outside.

First Time at a TPC Course

I had a very enjoyable experience at The Champions course at TPC Scottsdale. The conditions were so far and above most golf course here in the summer and the staff was friendly and helpful. I even played half way decent! Great time and a great round. I’ll definitely be back.

Course is wide open

Loved the course. Wide open. Pace of play Bordered between ok and slow. There were 2 groups in front of us that would combine on some holes. This created some slowness

1st Class

the course layout was moderate - I think it was designed for the casual golfer. The quality of the course equals the price I paid but I wouldn't think it would rank in my top fie of Phoenix golf courses. It is one of the most manicured courses from the greens to the fairway-rough. Degree of difficulty would rank in the 6 out of 10.

Rangers should be driving around the course to keep the pace.

Groups were waiting 2 deep on 4 holes

Great course for the price

Great first time playing this, had some challenges, but overall for 60bucks... yes it was very hot out even at 715 tee time by the turn, already 98degrees. But out foursome stuck it out..

Nice, picturesque course to play

The course had a lot of work going on. The greens were not in good shape maybe due to the punched greens. Had to wait on most of our shots to the green and teeing off. The players in front of us thought they could hit their second shots 300 yards to a 5 par green. We love this course and the price was better than other courses we had played. Many areas on the fairway were burnt out and mowed to the dirt. We hope Troon North will be in great shape tomorrow.

Stadiumless & overpriced

The fairways were in poor condition, due for refresh but way overpriced.

Very disappointing when paying $200+ for a round. I would expect much better condition. Bare dirt lies in the fairways are poor.

Maybe wait a few weeks

The course layout has always been the better of the two courses. They just opened back from their maintenance work. So I'm just not used to bad greens and overgrown tee boxes and fairways at a TPC course. Heavy construction equipment also present on the course during play so bearing that in mind, i would just wait a few weeks to play there. I'm sure it'll be back to normal TPC standards in no time.

Fairways in great condition

The course was beautiful. Greens were a little sandy but still rolled pretty good. Fairways were great.
