About Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort
Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort is a historic hotel, golf course and sports academy 45 minutes south of Phoenix-Scottsdale. The hotel and golf course is on the campus of Grande Sports World, a training destination for youth and national teams. The property was founded by Horace Stoneham, the owner of the San Francisco Giants, and opened in 1959. There is an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, while guest rooms are standard rooms and suite accommodations. The golf course was designed by Ralph Plummer and can stretch to over 7,500 yards from the championship tees.Facts

Pace of play
Played 18 holes in 4 hours. Great pace of play. Course was in really good shape and greens rolled good
Wet and Sloppy
They really shouldn't have Let carts out, the curse was saturated and standing water all over. It was also very cold. It seems that these golf courses won't close down when they should so that they don't have to refund greens fees
Thursday 4some
Great day of golf. 1307 tee time made for a chilly late afternoon. Because of this, we called it a day at 1700 with 3 holes left to play. We will be back, but with an earlier tee time.

Great value for $41 18 holes with cart. Pace of play was very good. Course was fun to play. Enjoyed my day of golf.

Course is in good condition considering that we just finished 3 days of rain. Staff is very friendly!
Very Good Golf Course
The course is in excellent shape, the fairways are green and full, the greens are well maintained and a bit slow early in the morning. The grounds crew is doing a good job and are very polite with the players and allow us to play through. Our whole experience was wonderful. The Starter even helped my wife to carry some things to our Truck while I was loading the clubs. I would encourage other golfers to play this course. We will definitely return.
Nice local course!
Good AZ weather and good Golf Course are a good combination. Morning Tee Time and normal play. Moved right along smoothly all morning. Condition of greens and fairways were excellent. Couldn’t have asked for a better day !!!
Not worth your $$
Course is not in good condition, bunch of dead patches on the greens, can’t tell the difference between rough and fairway because it isn’t taken care of. Too many workers on the course during the round that wouldn’t get out of the way

Course was much better than last week. Especially the greens!
Best reseed in years.
The course was wet as usual for reseed and dirt driving only. The greens were super slow and the rough hasn't been cut down yet. I lost five balls, three in the fairway as the grass is still too high. It may turn out to be a banner year for Franny Granny for the first time in several years. All in all an enjoyable round.
Course conditions
Played the first day it opened this year.. a little behind in their mowing, lots of new grass on the greens, they are going to turn out real good. Like the layout. Enjoy the friendly staff, Adam always treats us well.
