Great value through GolfNow.
A course I've played in the past and is still one of my favorites in Gold Canyon. Front nine is amazing and an enjoyable track. Good value for the price I got through GolfNow.
A very memorable experience.
Superior views from each vista tee-off. A very challenging yet rewarding course. The wildlife in and around while playing gave an added touch.
great
always a pleasure to play here. great facility good people and nice greens
cart path only, yelled at for being to slow. changed price at pro shop
staff is way to snobby. very expensive for the experience
The course was in great shape.
The greens were superb, and the rest of the course was in wonderful shape.
Beautiful layout, gorgeous scenery, excellent staff and great value.
A thoroughly enjoyable course, including the design, the scenery, the amenities and the staff. Unusual, and worth noting, is the custom-made breakfast omellettes available at the snack shop, conveniently located near the practice facilities and the (two) first tees - a great idea!
Dinosaur course is in emaculate shape
This is one of the most beautiful courses in the valley.
But I missed the charge of$40.00 for booking fee.
I will probably never use Golf now to book a tee time I have never been charged this much to book.
Magnificent course condition and scenery.
This one of the most beautifully manicured courses anywhere in the world, with abundance of desert wildlife and spectacular scenery. You cannot have a bad day here. This is a must play if you are in the Phoenix area.
fun course, beautiful views, friendly staff
This course is always fun to play.... and always in good shape. A four hour round is typical, even though it gets a lot of play. Many of the greens are raised, which makes it a little tougher.. It is not a particularly long course, but it definitely has its challenges. The surrounding area provides plenty of picture taking opportunities for those on a vacation trip.
Reseeding during Oct.
During the first 2 weeks of Oct they reseed, have to leave the cart on path and walk. Call and ask during this time if they are re-seeding. Sidewinder course was closed for re-seeding.
Awesome layout with spectacular views
Unfortunately we played it in its dead pre-overseeding state.
Bring plenty of drinking water unless you want to pay $3/bottle as there is none on the course.
Wow love the views, will be back
I played Sidewinder right before it closed for overseeding, grass was scalped down so the condition was not good, but hey we got a deal and I always wanted to play this course. The views of the Superstition Mountains from the front nine were right up there with the prettiest views on a golf course I have ever seen. Back nine was not as scenic, but it had some very interesting holes. I can't wait to play this course again after the overseeding is completed.
Stunning views and really enjoyed the layout
This course may have the prettiest views of any course I have ever played. I especially liked the two par threes that had you hitting down Dinosaur Mountain. It was fun trying to figure out which club to hit on these holes. Super down hill with a little bit of wind. The service at the club house and restaurant was outstanding. Everyone we dealt with was helpful and had smiles on their faces. Easily one of the top five courses I have ever played. Only negative was hitting off mats at the driving drive (at least they had the nicer mats).
Amazing views of the city and interesting elevation changes.
Played the course from the tees recommended on the card (15 plus) which put me at the white tees (second from front). As there are 6 par three's on this course and not a great deal of length to them or the par four's, found it a little too short. Would definitely play again, however, would drop back one set of tees.
Beautiful and challenging
The course is quite a challenge because the desert areas are not forgiving. If you want to take a chance you can benefit or experience disaster. That is a great feature. Of course the landscape is fantastic and quite unforgetable. We live here year round and always try to take visitors to this course.
Great scenary and great value.
This is a must play for anyone not living in AZ. The scenary is excellent. Nearly every hole seems to be elevated. Greens were rather slow due to the type of grass. I prefer faster greens. Unfornately, it was a very windy day that made the course much longer.
Starter staff was bragging that this is the best golf course in the area. It's definitely in the top 10, but there's a lot to consider if your claim the #1 spot. I could argue that statement with the employees.
Driving range is off mats only. Clubhouse and retail merchandise area is very small. I did not get a chance to eat in the restaurant. There's an eating station at hole 10. We purchased three hot dogs and the buns were stale. My guess is that they were about 1.5 weeks old. Yes, it was that bad.
Great Vistas
Nice course and good staff. Driving range is weak but course was nice. They need to tell folks and have signs when cart path only. First time we heard was when the ranger scolded us. No signs and no word from starter.
great course
Great course. Amazing layout. Amazing views. Nothing bad to say about this course. A must play
good, solid course
Sometimes hard to concentrate on your golf, with all the beauty surrounding you. Once you can, it gives you a good variety of shots you need to hit.
Maybe the best value in Phoenix area
Both courses are solid in their own ways. Greens are always in great shape, and the course was manicured nicely.
