Great views, good condition but...
Signing a form just to drive the cart? Ranger coming by 4 times during our round. Allowing a 5-some to play in front of us because they "know people". Cart girl only came by twice. I will eventually go back because the course is very nice, played sidewinder, but not because of anything else.
Beautiful scenery
This is a well maintained course with stunning views. Friendly and helpful staff made our play run smoothly. I will definitely return.
Fabulous mountain views, great elevated tees, GPS in carts....amazing
Wonderful golf course, amazing views, fabulous elevated tees, well maintained. A must play course.
Spectacular Views
Being a golfer from Phoenix I was very excited to finally get to play this course. From the first tee box to the last, the views of this course are out of this world. Everything was very enjoyable and the course has enough tee options to really challenge any level of player. The greens were much faster than I am used to but the greens held very well.
Play your way
Don't let the starter recommend your tee selection. We provided handicaps to the starter (after they asked) and they suggested we play further forward than we normally would. After two holes we moved back. The course played extremely short, even from the back tee locations.
Hidden Gem in Gold Canyon
Play a lot of golf in Arizona mostly Scottsdale area but the trip out to Gold Canyon is worth it for anyone in he area. There is a variety of tee combinations to make it challenging for any golfer and Dinasaur Mtn is in perfect condition. The views and beauty of the surrounding area along with a great course make it a must for anyone traveling to the Phoenix area. Truly the gem in Gold Canyon
One of my favorites..but
This course has all the breathtaking views anyone could ever want. It is a MUST if you love target desert golf in an absolutely beautiful setting. BUT, there's just a few things that have me scratching my head, so I cannot recommend this as a first class place to play. 1. You have to hit off cheap mats when you are warming up. 2. There is NO water on the course. If you are playing in the summer, make sure to bring lots of water. 3. There is an abandoned, boarded up house in between holes 9 and 10. Other than those things, this course in fantastic.
A Phoenix Phavorite
Loved this course - admittedly because of the view for the most part, but it was also well maintained and staffed by friendly staff.
I hope to be back!
this course was lots of fun
The course was great and the fee to play on a hot summer day is unbelievable. I’ve played other courses for the same price and they are no were near the quality of this course. The scenery is awesome for those that like to be outdoors and enjoy a beautiful hot day in AZ. It will definitely test your skills and your straight shot if you’re up to challenge the sidewinder is the awesome course to play!
Well maintained course
The grounds crew do a great job of keeping the course in great shape. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The views are breath taking. I wish I owned the house near the 5th tee box.
Tell only your best friends!
I hate to give Dinosaur a great review, but come on...this place is incredible. Country Club experience and incredible vistas of the Superstition Mountains. So fun to play this course and with rates dropping, now its the time to get out there. Before its 115 degrees.
Great course. Best track in the area, bar none!!!
This course was a dream to play. Excellent conditions coupled with a great lay out, made for a great day. Couldn't ask for anything better. You HAVE to play here.
Very well maintained with beautiful scenery and surroundings.
Very solid course for the avid golfer, a little pricy but we had a great time overall.
Far drive, long round
The course is well maintained, but the holes are so close to each other that you will find yourself waiting on almost every shot. The front nine got really backed up on #2, #4 and #6. If you play the tips you will find yourself hitting from tee boxes in corky places, like 20 yards from the previous holes green. Not a very scenic course because you are always by houses and condos. Small greens, so the approach shot is really important.
If you want to take the time to drive to Gold Canyon, pay the extra money and play dinosaur mountain. Sidewinder is not worth a half hour drive.
Course has great views
We played the Dinosaur Mountain on Mothers Day and the staff was'nt very cordial.... I dismissed it due to a shotgun tournament that was about to start on the Sidewinder so I understand how things can be stressful. This is a great course and the AZ resident price is hard to beat. Excellent scenery, challenging shots, and well maintained.
The course has great views
This course is gorgeous with great views of the mountains and it is well maintained.
First Class
Amazingly beautiful course. Best condition I've seen. Tough but fair. We were paired with members and they added to the great experience.
awesome views
very nice course very well maintain, played first time got good golfnow deal, will play again, greens were kind a fast with some difficulties
Course was well maintained with friendly staff. Highly recommended.
We played Sidewinder. The course was well maintained, with some breathtaking scenery. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to others.
Beautiful, challenging course
This is a beautiful golf course. Each hole seems like it could be featured on a post card. The greens were fast and fairways were well-maintained. Lots of elevation changes and difficult shots featured on this course. The course is more reasonably priced than some of the other premier courses - Troon, Boulders, TPC-Scottsdale, etc. - but I still feel it is a little pricey. For $25 dollars less (before tax), I think the Phoenician is a better value. That being said, this is still a fabulous course that everyone should try at least once.
