Great day at Eagle Mountain! Photo submitted by uOQDZ5699OQ on 09/26/2012
Always a treat!
Play here as often as is affordable. Course is in top shape albeit a few spots here and there. Played as a twosome early Friday morning in 3 stress free hours. No one in front of us the entire round. Nice!
Shot 78!
I'll be back!
Great views
Tough course and tougher greens. Course was in great shape! Played an early morning round on a weekend and the price was fair. This course is a must play from the right tees for your index. Greens are tough and prepare yourself for a lot of 2-3 put greens.
Aussie visitor
Nice looking course some good variety of holes.
A lot of ground under repair
Have not played this course for several years. Was amazed by the condition. A lot of areas under repair..still a nice course but has really declined in quality compared to Sunridge and Firerock
One of my favorites when visiting the Phoenix area...
Lots of rolling terrain and undulating greens...weather damaged only a very few parts of this course but didn't really affect play....only downer was that the cart path on 90% of the course around the greens is elevated and on these hot days I got tired out quick just walking on and off the greens
course in progress
I have played over 10 courses in the Scottsdale area in the last 6 weeks and the greens at Eagle Mountain were the best I've seen so far. A few of the fairways are being heavily maintenced but the staff lets you know that and is not a big deal. I played for an absolute steal of 31 dollars and just over 2 and a half hours
Bring your climbing gear
Great greens but ground under repair on many holes that slope from the sides down into poor drainage in the fairways. Steep climbs from almost every green back to the cart so not for the faint of heart but almost fainted and definitely overpriced
Great First Experience
This was my first time playing Eagle Mountain, and since I was playing it in the middle of the summer heat, I wasn't sure what to expect. Despite some work being in progress on a few of the fairways, the course was in really good shape for this time of year. There are many holes with great views, and the fairways can be pretty forgiving. I played at around 7:00 a.m., and was easily finished in 4 hours. The practice range and greens were all great, and the employees made it very easy to find. For the rate I paid ($39), I thought this was an extremely good value. The service was top notch, and the views are tough to beat. I will definitely be returning to Eagle Mountain in the future. I would love to play it during the peak season, as I'm sure it's in magnificent shape.
Great Golf Exxperience
I always try and play at Eagle Mountain when in Scottsdale. The course is undergoing some maintenance work, but this did not detract from a very enjoyable round. The staff were excellent, especially the Starter (John from Long Island, NY). He made sure that I was comfortable with the maintenance being carried out on the course and acted as course marshal to ensure that my round was as enjoyable experience. I look forward to my next round.
Hot day, but great time!
Besides it being 110+ degrees, the course was a lot of fun! I will defiantly play here again!
Eagle Mountain
Nice course with lots of challenging shots. Everything funnels to the green so it is very forgiving. Great views good value for the money definitely would return.
Bad summer condition
Rough shape all around....
Eagle Mountain
Loved it! My son n I enjoyed it! Course a little rough, but overall in good shape! Repairs are being done! Will be back!
Eagle Plus
A great price to play a great course. Lots of different types of shot. Always enjoy the elevation changes an scenic views. A great course that demands all types of shots.
Great course
loved the course. Pretty tough with lots of hills and valleys, but really enjoyable to play.
Bad value for the money
After playing this course several times over the past couple of years I found it to be manicured and played fair. This course has gone through some rough times as of now. The course is burned out in the fairways, extremely wet in the fairways where watering is taking place all day long. Very inconsistent fairways, with he over watering taking place with yard sprinklers. Drove a long way only to be disappointed in the change in this course. For 95.00 there are a lot better courses for the value located in Scottsdale.
Great features , tuff greens
Beautiful course and friendly staff ! Would play here again in a heart beat .
Outstanding!
Never know what you're going to get the first time you go to a new course, but boy were we treated to a good one! Fairways are bowl-shaped and forgiving, but greens have major undulations. Every hole offers a different challenge and distinctive.
Many marshalls on the course, all friendly. We waited on some holes, but played in 4:20.
Great views and beautiful homes along the course.
This Course if Very Playable in the Mountains
Eagle Mountain is a great mountain course. It is very playable as I call it the "Funnel" course because most of the errant shots funnel back to the fairways. Greens are in great shape and you get good lies in the fairways and rough. I am a 10 handicap and shot a nice round of 77 so that made it even better. The par 5 10th is my favorite hole and the back 9 is more scenic than the front. Great experience
Very Hilly
a lot of uneven lies and greens were like a putt putt course
