Top Notch Course and Staff
I really enjoyed my time at Wildfire Faldo course. I came on a Saturday at 12:15. They allowed me to play as a single since the course wasn’t too busy. The practice facility and staff were great before teeing off. The course itself is in great shape and challenging with so many bunkers to avoid. I didn’t catch anyone until the 8th hole and was able to pass them on 10. The marshall said he should give me a speeding ticket since I was 40 minutes ahead of pace after the front 9. Overall the round took 3 hours and was a great experience. Will be back in the future.
nice
Price was because of the Phoenix summer heat.
Course in great shape
Was over 100 degress but over cast made play okay
Regular rate i'm sure is a lot more than the 40 I paid
Excellent
The only thing that wasn’t perfect at this place were the greens. Because they were recently punched and way too slow. That’s understandable, it was just that time. My issue is that the practice green WASNT. The practice green was beautiful and perfect. So I warmed up on a green that wasn’t representative of the course. Other than that it was a fantastic day
Desert Course
Course in excellent shape especially fairways and greens. Played Palmer Course, fairly wide open off the tee, greens generally large, lots of sand around greens and many fairway bunkers. Pace was excellent, completed round at 4 hours. Tho some houses on course, rarely see except when on some tee boxes, don't really see when on course.
Will return to play Faldo course
You just wanna stay forever
The course was awesome tee boxes were amazing and the greens had a great speed.
The course provided a challenge that some golfers need not test.
Definitely one to remember , I played in 100 degrees and it wasn’t bad to play all 18. Lots of water at every other hole!
Great time playing here, first time out but I will definitely be back! Played the Faldo course, enjoyed everything about the place!
Course was in very good shape with the exception of several bunkers that need manicuring..
All in all just a great day on an excellently maintained course! The views were amazing too!
Faldo: Resort Style Golf
The Faldo course was a little more friendly off the tee than most, with larger fairways, but still challenging due to a lot of bunkers. The far sides of the fairways also had longer grass than many courses in Phoenix/Scottsdale, so it helped the ball stay in play more. Other courses seem to have such hard, short grass on the perimeter that it can sometimes kick out after a less-than-perfect shot. I'll be back.
Great course
First time playing. Paid 69$, Great shape for this time of year was done in under 4 hours. Somehow avoided all the bunkers so can't speak on how the sand traps were besides they looked good.
Great course, fairways great, greens poor
Course was in great shape for the most part. Greens were a little rough. Seemed like they could’ve used a little more sand when top dressing. Greens were shaggy and slow. I get it, it’s summer and transitioning. Fairways and roughs were prime. Lots of Bermuda. The greens were just rough to putt on and to get a good reading. Aerifying holes throughout. Overall, love playing Wildfire whether it’s the Palmer and/or the Faldo. Bunkers were in great shape. I tip my hat to the maintenance crew on their efforts, the outside services for their friendliness, and the beverage staff.
Fun
The course was in great condition, especially for early August. Played it twice on this trip.
Faldo course!!!
This place is awesome! Great course, great shape, great layout … really enjoyed playing here!
Great Course, Good Shape
So played in about 3 1/2 hours. Staff very friendly at curb and pro shop. GPS in cart. Greens continue to get better after punch a few weeks ago. Course is green and in great shape. Bunkers continue to need work following monsoon a few weeks ago which washed out a lot of sand. Some debris of trees still being removed too. Definitely still a great play and fantastic on course beverage cart.
