Not in good shape
I was thinking it was going to be a beautiful course for the $175 . I had a 1:36 t-time we arrived 45 minutes early and they told us we were cart path only on padre course so switched us to the other course and told us we were up right now so we were hurried out to tee box , the grass was patchy lots of bare spots and very green was elevated I mean every one!,, never going back.
Nebraska Ron
Good overall experience. Clubhouse staff left a bit to be desired for service. Sand hard, needing to pick vs blast.
New superintenent?
What happened to one of the former best 18 in the valley? A glimpse of its former self. Sad
Don’t bother
Slow pace of play, ranger refused to address t with the members causing it.
Poor Value
All four players agreed the course should be priced at half of what it is to be comparable to others in the area. After the round was over we left because we couldn’t get bar or food service.
Decent dourse with a few rough spots
Over the course is fine - fairly straightforward out and back along the wash. Decent but not overly interesting compared to other courses in the area. There are a few areas off the fairway that were pretty rough and a few greens (16 and 17 I believe) were not what they should be with missing grass.)
Decent shape, some greens are in bad shape
Played Ambiente course and found the course conditions to be ok. Great practice facility. Range and putting green, chipping area. Good tee boxes, great fairway conditions. Some bunkers lack deep enough sand, so club would bounce into the ball. Most greens putted well, 4-5 were in poor shape. I think padre course was in better condition per the staff.
Nice Course
Very nice, old style, relatively flat course. Very well maintained with a fantastic staff.
Good course for relaxing round of golf with good friends.
Camelback golf
Great place to enjoy a round of golf.
Overall, excellent condition except there were a few burn out marks on the putting greens.
Nice Cou8
Nice flat course with little elevation. Course was in good shape. Nothing too exciting. Old style layour.
Over Priced & Poor Condition
For $277.00, this Camelback track was in poor condition. Greens were bumpy and slow and several were totally damaged by fungus or whatever and were almost unplayable. Unfortunately "Greed-Flation" has impacted golf like everything else. It was a beautiful day and the staff and facilities were nice, but price being charged was ridiculous and the course condition was poor at best
Greens were really slow - not usual
This is usually in great shape and the greens are usually fast and pure - but today the greens were really hairy, probably only rolling at 7-8. Not expected for this course or the price that we paid.
Unfortunately, Ambiente is in awful condition. Avoid
Course condition has declined dramatically. Really unfortunate to see this beautiful turn into a dog track
Camelback CC - Ambiente Course
I enjoyed the layout, it's very nice. However, the course was in very bad shape which was quite disappointing given this is the peak season. Tee boxes were good however there were a number of issues with the greens stemming from them being very bumpy (don't think they have been cut or rolled in some time) and there were several where the grass was dead or nearly dead and painted green to try and hide the issues. Fairways had a number of areas w/ no grass or very little grass. All in all it was a very disappointing experience given the amount of money it cost to play and knowing it is affiliated with the JW Marriott. My understanding is their second course is in much better shape but I did not have a chance to play that.
All good
Great course and staff. Played full 18 in under 4 hours..
Some rough patches on a few greens but still rolled well..
Great day on the links
I had guests from Alaska and Ohio and treated them to a day of golf at Camelback. We had a wonderful day of golf. The staff was exceptional. We felt very welcomed and loved the course.
