Okay
Played Orangetree for the first time in years. Going back to my teenage years I always enjoyed playing the course. Yesterday’s experience was fair at best. You could have landed a jet in the bunkers they were so compacted. Staff was polite but not overly friendly. Maintenance workers everywhere. Pace of play was excellent and on course marshals very accommodating. So, it wasn’t a top rated experience but, as I said, have always enjoyed the course. Will play it again but hope there are some visible improvements.
Lack of empathy from front office
The course overall was in good shape. They experienced some frost this week which delayed our round by appx 1 hour. When doing so it made it where part of our party had to leave early on the back 9. Tried asking for consideration to start on the back 9 to be able to get the whole round in, they quickly declined and didn't seem to really care. They are focused on dynamic pricing which is likely great for them, however it has jacked up pricing and the course conditions do not reflect it. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back to the course due to their management choices on how to treat golfer experience. Plenty of other courses to visit.
Fun time
Course condition and staff were great? Greens are very true and readable. Loved the patio and sitting area. Many holes seemed the same, but still provided a good challenge.
Orange Tree
Fast, slick greens. Every putt near the hole curved away. Fairways were patchy in too many places, creating thin, uneven lies.
The course was a bit disappointing for the price
We had the second tee time. The course had a frost delay which was expected. But the course just wasn’t worth the price. The course was very tight as well really had to keep the driver in the bag. The best part were the greens and the fairways were in decent shape as well but the bunkers, the rough were pretty bad. I know they were do renovations on some of the bunkers but the ones that were done or not being worked on were very inconsistent and pretty much just hard dirt. The following day we played another course that was similarly priced and it only made us more disappointed about this round because that course(I will not name in fairness) gave so much more for a competitive price. If you have other options. Go there.
Nice course for the cost
Course is in great condition minus the sand bunkers. All lacking sand so hitting out of was almost impossible.
Hopefully that will change soon.
Nice course
Course in nice shape. Bunkers hard to hit out of due to the firmness of the sand.
Saturday not good- Sunday much better
We got a 2 pm tee time on Saturday expecting to play 18. We were on the tee box at 2:20 and waited on every hole. The pace of play for 9 holes was 3 hours. No chance to play 18.
We played again on Sunday. Again pace of play was slower.. Waited on every hole. We managed to get done with 18 in a bit over 41/2 hours. The management was responsive to our disappointment when it was raised.
Overpaid for Value
The course is worn out and needs improvements. Very disappointed in the course conditions for the price we paid. Would not play here again.
Fun course
Generous fairways and nice greens with some challenge here and there. Lots of fun.

Needs Improvement
The course has possibilities with a complete redo starting with tee boxes thru the greens. The maintenance facilities look horrible. Can’t recruit good people with old equipment and poor work area. The shop was fine. Good marketing for the happy hour and restaurant area. You could attract a younger age demographic with an improved practice area and better pricing. John Jacob’s has a good reputation but can’t believe they could get much traction with that practice facility. Won’t be back unless money is put back into the club.
