Decent bit not great
Need more sand in the bunkers pace of play was slow
Over 4 hours and 40 min
Orange Tree is Trying to Improve
Even though OT has been rebuilding their bunkers, they need to be deep raked weekly as the course watering packs the "sand" down and they become hard packed just under the surface. Additionally, because there are NO GPS's on the carts, a player must use a laser device--but the pins have no reflectors. It would be nice to have better tee box markers--the pieces of tree limbs (with painted ends--and rocks for the most forward tees) look tacky for a GOLF RESORT!
Wide Fairways
The greens were excellent and the fairways were wide. The night before we had rain so the course was wet overall and kind of muddy in places. The tee off blocks were very flat and in goo d shape. I would play again but kind of pricey.
Very enjoyable
Course was in great condition - staff very friendly and nice. After round bar/food a MUsT! Completely enjoyable day!
Soggy experience
It was a rainy and cool day. Cart path only and lots of standing water. Would like to go back and play it in better conditions. Good layout, but sand wasn’t very good (mostly clay).
Enjoyable Round on a Soggy Course
Course was likely over-watered since we hadn't had rain for a couple of weeks. Course is great value for the money.
Always enjoy a round at Orange Tree
We play here on every trip to Az. Fun with enough challenges, especially the greens. Can’t believe the prices in Az these days. Ouch!
Nice course with excellent pace of play
I was part of a twosome that was following a threesome and we rarely had to wait. I know this can change quickly depending on who is on the course. Nice layout for all skill levels.
Front 9 fairways not yet filled in from the reseed.
The bunkers could do with a good deep raking since the ones I experienced are hard packed under the initial cover so need to pick rather than splash. Greens ok.
Uninspiring
Old course, uninteresting, skimpy grass on fairways, poor bunkers and a $20 rider fee for my wife to ride along👹
Nice but Same ol Same ol
The course was average with nice houses around the course but no views other than that. Every hole was kind of the same and the pace of play was horrible! Get a ranger or space out your tee times! All of this is probably from over booking.
Not in the shape I havebeen used to
Would always play OT several times during my previuos visits and always found the conditions to be excellent. Not so much this year.. Tees, fairs and some greens were not to the same standard I have been used to. Not sure what the issue is, that being said the course is still very playable and enjoyed my round there. Chuck the started was a pleasure to deal with as was with all staff.
