Value for the money
It is a good golf course, not so expensive. But, some fairways required maintenance and muddy( but I played after a monsoon).
Value for the Money!
This is a good and affordable golf course. The course conditions are okay, but you will find some spots to fixed in some fairways.
Fob times in the heat
Course was in excellent condition considering it’s in the middle of summer…
Cut down the trees
I played the back 9 and breakfast deal. The breakfast was delicious and generous portions. I liked this course 20 years ago but now all of the trees in the creek are overgrown and ruin the sight lines of the course. Too many blind tee shots with no gps or yardage book to tell you where you can hit the ball. Plus there are beautiful views of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve if they were not obscured by all the overgrown bushes and trees in the creek. I will not be back until they rehab the course.
Just not good at all....
Probably the 4th or 5th time I've played this course and probably the last.
Dog walkers / bicyclists / joggers walking all over the course including across fairways and greens we were playing. One lady in a purple track suit with her dog mysteriously emerged out of the woods on the first three holes we played every time we were teeing off. Another jogger running by tee boxes having a very in depth conversation with his dog - at least the dog was courteous enough to not talk in my backswing.
Grass needed to be cut, but I assumed they couldn't because of the swamp like conditions on most of the fairways.
This is first time in my life I've ever been annoyed by the amount of weeds in a tee box. Had to tee up higher just to avoid the weeds on a couple of holes.
I've usually enjoyed playing this course and never had overly lofty expectations on the conditions of the course, but seems like they have just given up for the summer. I shouldn't talk, I guess - I gave up after about 13 holes...
Great course
Play was a bit pushed but everyone was. Gotta be accurate on the course. Good tight layout. Very enjoyable. Will be playing again.
Course layout and Greens condition are the highlights
The positive: greens in really good condition, smooth and fast. The layout is excellent ! Will never play this course again because of the following: Bunkers are rock hard cracked dirt, when not rock hard tons of rocks in the dirt which is substituted for sand. I expected punched fairways, but this course looks like a monster truck rally came in and tore it up ! Lots of turned up dirt and mud, the cart paths were washed out by the amount of water sitting in the lows. The price was good so didn’t expect perfect, but there are far better conditioned course for the same price. It’s really a shame because the layout is very cool, and interesting with rolling slopes. I hope this management team hires someone to provide quality course maintenance. It’s located in a very congested housing area with housing thick yet while your playing you really don’t see the housing on both sides. The 4/5 stars rating IS NOT ACCURATE- more like 2. I wish I would have taken pictures. Also hornet bees swarming in several heavily muddy a areas on fairways-cow pasture feeling.
Everything was great but, I booked a 4some on Golf Now and one guy couldn’t make it. I prepaid for 4.
Stone Creek said I had to talk to GN. Golf Now said OK but had to call Stone Creek. Stone Creek would not authorize credit for that player because they said 24 hour cancellation policy.
But I just booked the round 12 hours earlier. GN said to call manger on Monday because they usually at least give a credit.
I’ll try and I’ll see what happens.
Very disappointed.
I’m done playing this course. It’s a mess. Seems obvious the greens keeper doesn’t play golf. The place is al system way too wet. On top it f that they’re running sprinklers during play. The bunkers are awful. What sand there is if any is hard and most are soaked. It’s a shame cuz this used to be a lot nicer.
