Sloooow
Slow play, had to wait on every shot. Groups were backed up as fare as you could see. No course Marshall. Could not finish round before dark. Staff was not friendly at all seemed to be stressed with the umber of golfers.
Fun Golf Course
Every golf hole is a different so this makes it a fun golf course to play. I was paired with some golfers from out of town who were great golfers, so the day was enjoyed by all. Pace of play was perfect and the weather was perfect also ~~ 74 degrees. There are some dirt spots with little grass, so you need to overlook this. I will play again, one of my favorite courses.
terrible playing companions
Course was soaked at least the fairways were, (no rain for days) tee boxes and greens were hard and fast, several shots in the fairways had to be moved for casual water and the the next fairways was bare dirt in the fairways, no sand in most of the bunkers. $30.00 dollars would be a fair price. Pace of play was very slow. Two groups on the tee boxes and a group group in the fairways with a group on the green each par four.
We were pared up with two regulars from the course they were terrible to play with they would not wait for us to hit. Drove there cart in front of my girlfriend several times and would hit while we would have to wait for them to move so we could hit our shots to the green. Very rude and inconsiderate. We went to the pro shop at the turn and requested a refund or a rain check for the back nine. The pro shop said we could have half of the back nine, so basically $20 bucks. We played on and it only got worse. These guys are regulars and I believe that this is typical of the players on this course.
Day 1 in AZ
The course was in great condition. the traps for the most part which one should stay out were firm which made them and easier play. Many of the traps have over hand fronts which in certain situations can make it a test. The fairways were in stellar condition and the greens were soft at the beginning of the round but firmed up quickly. One had to adjust top the pace but it was no big deal.
Pick up the trash
Lots of trash and junk in the dry riverbed that runs through the middle of the course. I have complained about this at least three other times and nothing has been done.
Irrigation problems, muddy, lots of trash.
For the money the course is brutal. $90 a person and there's mudholes and water puddles on every other hole. They cut the grass but don't bag it, cut grass clumps everywhere. Second time playing the course and it was a dump last time too. So when I called to book this last tee time I brought up my concerns and they assured me the course was in perfect shape. They got our money for the last time. The amount of trash just 6 inches into the bushes is wild. It looks like a landfill.
Great value!
The back nine and breakfast is the best deal in PHX!
First timer
Rough around the edges but an interesting course with plenty of challenge.
I love this Superstition
Friendly staff, challenging corse, appropriate pace of play. Restaurant staff, food awesome
NICE COURSE
Good value. Back nine was backed up far too much though
Bad pairing
We have always loved this course. This time we were paired with 2 singles. One had his girlfriend as a ride along who started golfing with us on the 2nd hole making us a 5 some then their 10 year old joined them on the 13th hole putting. The other was loud and obnoxious after a few cocktails and forgot all golf etiquette rules. No ranger noticed and would be tough to bring it to their attention.
