What was once the Valley best value golf, now stinks
Stonecreek used to me the best value golf in the valley. The fairways are burned up, the tees are a mess, trash bins on every hole are full. Classi example of a poorly run golf course run on the cheap. It is a shame.
One of the best bang for your buck courses in AZ
Challenging but fair. Need to know course layout or you'll lose your balls. Lol Water Sand Marsh land Streams Inclines. A TRUE test of your golfing IQ!!! ENJOY. I did.
Check your ego. Or bring lots of balls.
You need to strategies your way around this course. Don't cut corners you'll never find your ball. Super fun course!
Disappointed
Lots of repair work being done on the course. The course in areas was over wet by over sprinkling. Very easy to lose balls if you allow yourself to get into the foliage. Course did not look attractive.
Poor service and staff
Aside from the check-in guy, rest of staff at the course were extremely unprofessional and rude and treated guests as if they were burdens.
Good Course
Course is worth the money. That said, the pace of play was very slow. With 9 minutes between times, it should not take 5 hours or more to play. Greens were good but the fairways were pretty bare in spots.
Good value for back 9 and breakfast
Overall, good experience. Course is a bit over saturated. Water everywhere including cart paths. Sprinkler was also going pretty high on 17. Need to stop watering earlier because with the morning dew, it’s too muddy.
But good course, staff is friendly, and great value.
Not worth the value
You are going to think I am making this up. We had an early tee time on a Monday in late April. Check in was easy. By the second hole we notice burned out sections. Then we noticed standing water all over the place from over watering (over compensating? ). As we continued the sprinklers were still on blocking some of our shots. More standing water. But, worst of all was the garbage all over the place Anywhere where garbage could collect, it did. Even in the middle of the fairway on one hole. The tee boxes had literally tens and tens of of broken tees everywhere. Not just one tee box. Every tee box. Looked like they hadn't cleaned those up in 3-4 days. Shocking for a Wisconsinite to see a course in that condition. Regular greens fees are $89. Completely overpriced for the condition of the course And I am not talking about just the green, fairways etc, I'm talking about the garbage, and lack of simply daily maintenance. Weak.
Need a course marshall the foursome in front was two holes behind. Need larger trash can on course they were all overflowing
