Some interesting holes but it has its problems.
Stone Creek is an interesting course with some very challenging holes, but the parts of the fairway that have been overseeded are very narrow and the rough is basically dried hard ground with some dried grass on it. If you can stay in the fairway, you'll have an enjoyable time...that is until you get to the back nine and encounter bicyclists and skateboarders who seem to think that the cart paths are city walking and riding trails. The course acknowledges this is a big problem. Even though signs are posted to stay off the course, people were racing by on bikes as we were teeing off - and crossing in front of us in the middle of the fairway. Many condos border the back nine and people were out on the course with their dogs taking them over to the water to have a nice stroll. This is a dangerous situation and our group will not return. The back nine literally feels like a public park and it's a little tough to "play through".
Nice muni course, would play again!
Not sure why there are so many negative reviews of Stonecreek. Outside of the price ($90/each + tax), we really enjoyed our round. Moderate difficulty, but fun and playable. Fairways in good condition after overseed. We will be back and hope for a price break!
Great value!
Price is appropriate for course quality, many courses in the area cannot say that right now. Got the 9 hole plus a meal deal and it was totally worth it. Fun course, good layout. A few brown spots here and there, but if you keep it in the fairway, conditions are more than good enough.
Soooo much trash on the course
Its a shame, the course is in pretty good shape especially for the money but I have never seen so much trash on a golf course in my life.
Fun course
Forgiving yet challenging, greens in good condition, not crowded or rushed
Sunday at the Creek
First of all, there was a huge outing preceding the after noon tee times. The staff could not have been more friendly, realistic and helpful with all the chaos going on. Every time I go to the "Creek" I find the staff more and more friendly and always makes it seem as though they appreciate my business.
Just ok
This course does not have the greatest layout and it is never in great shape. Always wet and mushy or dry bare spots. I would recommend going to a different course to get a better bang for your buck.
