While The Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Scottsdale and Stonecreek Golf Club do not market themselves together as a golf resort, the course is just steps away from the front lobby. Guests may enjoy rooms and suites overlooking the course, which also deliver in space and comfort. A complimentary breakfast buffet and free drinks at happy hour in the hotel lounge are additional amenities available, not to mention an outdoor pool. The hotel is within 6 miles of hiking trails at Camelback Mountain and is conveniently located near a large outdoor shopping mall as well as minutes from Scottsdale Airport and 60 different restaurants. Stonecreek Golf Club is a unique desert golf experience with an expansive pro shop and clubhouse and also features its own restaurant for after your round.Facts

Great layout
Great layout and really like changes (removal of all the scraggly bushes). Need to work on the trash in the change areas. Desperately in need of water!!
New course
Easy to book. Great course. Only bad thing I paid for 3 and only 2 of us showed, so I am out $70 or so.

Stonecreek—a hidden value gem
Wonderful local course that is challenging and not crazy overpriced. Greens were firm yet held approach shots. The fairways were green and carried/rolled-out well. We played at a leisurely pace and finished in 4:15.

Course not being kept up as in the past decades.
Good idea to bring back to the original intent
of “stonecreeks” instead of jungle creeks,
but everything else in poor shape.
Played here since the early 90’s.

Course Conditions
The course is in rough shape, and the rates do not reflect this.
I understand that the winter in AZ commands higher rates, but with those rates, the course conditions should reflect the higher cost.
Disappointed is the nicest thing I can say.

Freeze delay
We had about 45 minute delay but staff had great plan to resolve the backup. Reset with a tournament atmosphere.

Slow slow play with no ranger assistance to get players moving. 5+ hour round just ruins it.

quagmire to avoid
brutal condition and would avoid at all costs. course was a complete bog. standing puddles everywhere. mud and gunk all over each hole. i bet the rice paddies in north vietnam were more inviting. i was shocked at how awful track played, and at $48 for a 3:39 tee time?! highway robbery.
