Canyon Course...tee off towards Camelback Mtn. Photo submitted by u000001276894 on 09/24/2012
WOW
Got the info for this course from our hotel manager. There was a short frost delay but wasn't an issue. Great course. In great condition. Will definitely play this one again.
Great course
I signed up for the first tee time but was bumped to the second tee time after waiting on a frost delay for an hour. The group they put before us was incredibly slow and I had to quit after 9 holes.
I have played here before and think the course and amenities are great. The pace of play is just too slow for resort golf.
Love it
Wow very nice course in perfect condition with challenging shots on every hole. The desert course had some beautiful holes cut into camelback mnt
Great golf and location experience
Picturesque courses, immaculately maintained, friendly helpful well trained staff.
Highly recommended.
LOVED IT!
This was the most beautiful course we have ever played. The course conditions were impeccable and the staff couldn't do enough- can't wa to go back
Great day!
Saved $40 booking on Golf Now! That was a great start. When I arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful. On the range we were hitting off grass rather than mats. (which is always nice!) Played on a Sunday and still started on time and finished in 4 hours 10 minutes! Great track. Plenty of challenges; water, sand, blind shots, etc. Greens were a good size not to small or too big. Played with a member and the course knowledge was helpful. They have a few twist and turns that you really can't see on the yardage book. NO GPS ON CARTS...that surprised me a bit! The course didn't seem to be marked all that well for yardages. However, I always travel with my range finder and all was good.
At $100 it can't be beat!
We eat at the sports bar above the pro-shop...great fare! Tasty!
Golf the way it was meant to be
Played Oasis and Canyon. Course was in great shape, greens were moderately fast and rolled true. Great golfing experience with friends who were visiting from out of town. Got backed up a little on the Canyon 9 from the 4 to 7th hole. Bistro wasn't up to their usual standards, hopefully it was just an off day for them. Food was cold, overpriced and under cooked.
A valley must
I would go here again and again. This is one the few courses I wouldn't get tired of.
1st. Class and a Great Time
I don't think it could get any better! It was Great from the condition of the course to the staff, and playing with my Son made it that much better. This was a special day.
Très bonne conditions
Avons jouer canyon/oasis et les conditions étaient parfaites
A good resort course for women.
My only fault with the Phoenician would be that at times their signage was confusing.. On one hole the tees were elevated and it was not clear from the cart path which tees were up there.
Nice experience
Played Oasis and Desert 9s. Course was in great shape - would be better if pitch marks were fixed. Pace was ok but course was crowded for a weekday afternoon. A few holes were really goofy and obviously space constrained. I would go back for the highly discounted rate I paid - at full price would go somewhere else.
All around great course
2nd time playing. Facilities and course are top notch; everyone's super friendly. Had the breakfast burrito and it was great. One of the best courses for the cost. No wonder President Obama stays and plays there!! Have been going to Phoenix annually for 8 years and it's now one we put as a must play each year!
Will not play again.
This course, no matter which nine holes you play, is not worth your time and money. Pace of play was very very slow. Due to an "outside" event, one of the nines that we had signed up to play was not available. On our second nine, one of the teaching pros was giving an on course lesson to what appeared to be a fairly new golfer. Great to see that someone new is learning to play golf, but on course playing lessons at 11:00 am is a bad practice. Both nines played were very tricked up. Seemed they did everything they could to create 27 holes when a good 18 would have been a better plan. Bottom line, will not play this course again.
Twilight Round
Lovely course in great condition. Not very long but a good mix of holes. Short par threes that use the 'mountain' very well. We played 'twilight' and ran out of light for the 18th hole. Managed to walk the hole and it was very good and had many challenges.
Cart Path only makes this course difficult
We had a great round but the cart path only rule seemed to slow down play and the foursome behind us hit over our heads several times.
Numerous signature holes!
Very picturesque, grass was a little long. The Only complaint was we were not advised at any point that it was cart path only!
customer golf
Would say they need to add a few things, e.g. GPS on cart, drive on fairways and more yardage markers. These additions would make it a great course.
Great coarse!
The coarse was fantastic and in great shape, food in the grill was awesome!
Desert plant variety was awesome
Course was over seeding so it was cart path only and condition not that great. Lots of water hazards on oasis nine and great views on Desert nine. Overall worth the money because of the great desert plant life on the grounds. Most examples of plants were there along with some great golf holes.
