Course in excellent shape
Beautiful course only downside was cart path only which is the norm.
Beautiful Course , good pace and fun
We enjoyed our day. The pace was a little over 4 hours. The course was challenging but fair.
Beautiful course!
Fast greens and well-manicured fairways. Beautiful golf course.
Great Course
This was my first time playing this course and it was fantastic! I highly recommend this course.
Fun track
Great variety of holes and used nearly every club in my bag. Greens rolled true but often would not hold short irons. Canyon 1 was lay up hole, but I really want to crank driver on my first shot of day.
Great Morning of Golf
I played the Phoenician with an 8:27 start time. Course is well maintained, some very pretty vistas and the company was excellent - good golfers and very observant of the etiquette of the game. Staff was very friendly. The best thing about the earlier times is that you can finish in 4:15 to 4:30. Any later and there are two or three groups on a hole and it turns into a 6 hour round.
This course has some hidden water!
Greens were very nice. The practice facilities were top notch.
Great course, less impressive staff
The course was great and in perfect condition, the 19th hole was perfect also with extremly good service. But on the course the staff was not as helpful and made the experiance not to the standing we had hoped
Excellent condition!
Beautiful views of Phoenix. Good pace of play. Greens could be a little quicker but still very nice and true. Be prepared for a few very sloping fairways. Great day
Luxury in the Desert
Just a beautiful course this is. I prefer the Oasis and the Desert the Canyon which i always get is harder at least for me. I was so bummed on my score
Great course to have fun
I would like to play the Canyon course next time. I had a great time at Oasis/Desert. I liked Desert better.
JB
Great resort course with amazing views of the valley a must to play when in phoenix area..
Beautiful golf experience in every aspect
My wife and I chose this golf course by careful screening thru Golfnow.com, It turned out to be a memorable experience. The condition of the fairway and green are impeccable. The ambience of the total facility was lavishly decorated with ornament desert plantation and palm trees, it really is inviting to enjoy the stay. Staff is very friendly. The course is a bit challenging but I kept my average score which made me very happy. It was later learned from my local friend that it one of the few rated 3 stars by Michelin, well worth it.,
Excellent value
A great course at a great bargain. Condition was perfect.
Hole in One
My son & I were in Scottsdale for a guys golf trip and I decided to play the Phoenician. The course was beautifully manicured and picturesque. The greens were rye over seed for winter and they were smooth and nice. Some of the pin placements weren't great and the guests didn't repair their ball marks but that's not unusual for a resort course. The highlight for the day was I made my first hole in one on the 8th hole Canyon Course. We had a blast & I'd recommend it to aanyone looking for an awesome resort golf experience
Beautiful course
Pace moved slower since it was Sunday. Great views though!
Beautiful course, nicely kept, fair price
Friendly staff, beautiful course. Pristine conditions at a fair price, I will be back for sure!
Lucky Day
The course is on par (pun intended) with some of the nicest I've played. A true "resort course" where staff and grounds crew attend to your every need. Conditions were perfect and I finished the round in just UNDER three hours. However, the staff told me I was lucky, that the course is usually much more crowded and the pace substantially slower. I also chose a tee time with a lower cost, but they let me go whenever I was ready. I highly recommend this course for the seasoned golfer and NOT the novice. You can lose a lot of balls here if you don't hit them straight. Also a lot of blind water (even though it shows on the GPS).
Frosty!
Phoenix Temps in the 30's and sun shining bright. A frost delay cobbled up the morning start times, but the staff got things on track, and we started on time at around noon..
Beautiful Views on the Desert 9.
Only issues were the transitions between the 9's - they did not flow well and required backtracking; and the pro shop was closed by the time we returned. With as much non-golf activity at this location has (10 restaurants, multiple hotel properties, Tennis, etc.), i would have kept the store open into the evening dinner crowd. - missed out on a few Benjamins, from our foursome.
On course beverage cart (4 passes during the 18) and restrooms (marked on scorecard) are continuously available.
WOW
Got the info for this course from our hotel manager. There was a short frost delay but wasn't an issue. Great course. In great condition. Will definitely play this one again.
