The Phoenician Golf Club

Kinda disappointed in the greens. Expected fast greens for as nice of a place as it is. I feel they're prepping to overseed shortly due to fairway conditions. Is a fun course still, with plenty of challenging holes, elevation changes and blind shots. I wouldn't recommend walking the course, driving range is 400+ yards from pro shop and from #1 tee. Has to be close to a half mile between holes 9 and 10.

My second time playing The Phoenician. The greens were much slower this last time. Still a great track with views that are amongst the best in the valley. I highly recommend The Phoenician!

I was expecting a premier golf experience and it just felt like a decent Arizona course.

This course absolutely lived up to all the expectations I had based on what I'd heard throughout the years. Fairways were wide and welcoming and held good shots with ease. The grass was perfect from tee to green on every hole and provided an ideal ball-striking surface for any iron or wedge into the greens. Played early in the morning (6;40AM) so there were not many groups ahead of us which left the greens virtually untouched. They were very quick but also very consistent which made for easier putting on each greens. Beverage cart service was consistent and friendly throughout the round and seemed to be more fluid as the morning progressed. Thrilled that our 3-some played in well under 4 hours and still had a marvelous time. Cannot wait to get out to Phoenix to play this course again.

Given golf in Scottsdale on Aug 3 most course are working on overseed greens changing over grass rye/ bluegrass this course was in good not great shape, greener than my country club here, spots of dead grass and a couple of greens need work.

I think the worst part is that, cart path only on 1 and 18 the entire year. Just terrible. I am sure there is a reason but….. just terrible.

Played in 115 degree weather… didn’t need the driving range to loosen up at all! Course is amazing, very well maintained and challenging enough from the amateur tees to make a first-time course player to feel like they’re playing tournament ball. Would play again happily. Locker room is really nice and the showers are top notch to cool down and smell great after a very hot round.

The course was in great summer shape with soft receptive greens. Obviously primarily a winter resort as there was not sufficient water available on course. Bring your own jug when it’s hot. Automated pace of play warnings on the GPS are annoying, we waited on the group ahead all day, which was fine, it’s a resort, guests are having fun.

Too many holes were cart path only for the heat of late June.
