The Wigwam Arizona
About The Wigwam Arizona
Located in the West Valley near Phoenix-Scottsdale is one of Arizona's most historic golf resorts, Wigwam. Set on 440 acres, this village-style resort features three 18-hole golf courses, including two designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., most notably the famous Gold Course. The resort features 331 casitas and suites with large private patios and several resort pools, including a new 25-foot water slide tower. The resort-style golf courses are more parkland in nature than surrounding desert courses and feature palm trees and water hazards sprinkled throughout. There are four dining concepts, led by the signature Litchfield's Restaurant serving local farm-to-table cuisine, while there is Red's Bar & Grill for casual fare and the Wigwam Bar, which is the social epicenter of the resort. Recreation outside of the 54 holes of golf is nine lighted tennis course and two regulation bocce-ball courts, sand volleyball, bike rentals and yard games.Facts

Good day
Course basically flat greens elevated and a bit concaved balls from shorter clubs hold but longer irons tend to roll a ways. The greens are where the strokes can add up. It’s an ok golf track and was a reasonably priced. Based on what the costs are now in phoenix. Played the Gold course which I understand is the most difficult of 3. - 18’s
Go play it
Midwestern feel -challenging
Great course, long rough and lots of water atypical of most AZ golf. Def not desert golf but still tons of fun
Beautiful and tough
Course was in outstanding condition preparing for the Canadian Tour qualifier and was correspondingly tough. Greens were firm and fast. Rough was up a bit and tees, fairways and greens were in great condition.
Great golf afternoon
7 of my golf friends and I played the Blue Course. We were celebrating a special birthday and could not have a better experience. The course was in great shape, and the friendly staff contributed to a wonderful afternoon.
Great course in perfect condition. The 18th hole is the only downfall on an otherwise enjoyable round.
Enjoyed the course. The fairways in great shape, green good also
Best condition I have ever seen. Greens were perfect
Great Golf Outing
We really enjoyed playing the Gold Course. Can't wait to play the other 2 courses as well. Thank you
3/17/2023 Round on Wigwam Blue
Beautiful venue so gave Excellent rating. The course Rating/Slope, in my opinion, did not match the level of difficulty to play course. I played the Championship Tee which is 5572 yards with 67.6/119 rating/slope and had to play extremely hard to break 100 on a par 70 course. My wife struggled as well playing Club Tee which was less yardage than her home course in Virginia. Overall, was not a great memorable experience for us.
My suggestion for those who play there, consider lowering your ego and play a lesser tee to have a more enjoyable round.
Great course
A little pricey but I’ve been playing there for many years
Blue Course was in Good Shape
Threatening rains kept many off the course. Tees to fairways to greens were all in good condition. Greens were hard to hold, but rolled fair-speed and true. Sand traps had fluffy sand to work. Rough was OK. Pace was 3.5 hours (could have been 3 hrs. for me , as a single, had the foursome in front of me allowed me to play through). Value for this course was very good. Hope to return soon to play the Gold Course.
Blue course
Rainy day but everyone was very accommodating, starter was great, food cart, course in great shape overall a good day. Round took 3 hours
