About
The Gold Course is one of three 18-hole courses offered at the Wigwam Resort, which was named one of Golf Magazine's "Silver Medal Resorts." Golf Digest cited the Gold Course as one of the best public courses in the state. Mature trees are present on all of the courses, as well as winding creeks that create water hazards, which come into play on several holes. There are also strategically placed sand bunkers present on the course. The rolling landscape of the course causes elevation changes that can affect shots. The Wigwam Resort facility also has a putting green and chipping area.

Great Staff
Played 2 days in a row ( Gold & Blue). Their staff was 5 Star and so were the courses and the amenities!!!!
Terrible setup for holiday weekend
Second time playing wigwam gold and likely will not go back. Course was very poorly managed with no rangers anywhere leading to a painful 5:15 round. Rough was very overseeded and difficult to find your ball, and when you do advance it. Just a terrible decision by the course with so many novice golfers in town for the holiday. Every tee box was a ten minute wait as folks playing your hole and from other holes searched for balls. Course itself was challenging and COULD be fun if there was any kind of flow to the round.

played on 09/27/2025 in the morning and course overall in very good condition. Only bad thing was it was a 4 hour and 40 minute round due to waiting on every shot for groups ahead to move ahead.
Great conditions
Great for this time of year. Greens were perfect. All the courses out there have confusing layout if you've never played there. Totally worth the drive though
Course conditions
The couple of sand traps I played out of were hard underneath and with an open face my club bounced and sculled the ball.
Great place except for marshall
Fun place overall and challenging but issue with the Marshall and place of play
Not a favorite
The gold course is showing summertime. Fairways have mostly thin lies which I don’t like. Greens OK. Surprising with all the trees there didn’t seem to be a lot of much needed shade. Prefer the Blue or Red courses.
ENJOYABLE
We had a very nice round on the Gold Course.
The conditions were great.
New Favorite in AZ
This course is my new favorite in the greater Phoenix area! Finding the the pro shop was the hardest part, but once I figured that out, it was a blast! Warmed up on the range w/ free balls (my favorite) and then hit the course. We played the Gold Course and it was fantastic!
Top notch very affordable
For a resort course the welcome locals for play with open arms and cost is great for great facilities
