Westgate Painted Mountain Golf Resort

Round started off great with an employee letting us group 6 people together since no one was playing behind us for a few hours.

Get to the golf cart return and another employee comes out berating us for going slow and playing with 6 people. This is the second time I've been spoken to rudely at this course. They seem to think they are a high end club and not a below avg AZ course.

Don't play here.

Course was in fairly good shape. Many trees on the course need trimming. The greens were well taken care of. Tee boxes need more attention. Very nice layout Play was very smooth.

Greens were spectacular. Green grass on 80-90% of fairways For summer afternoon playing conditions I was very impressed.

Couse is never in good shape. Only reason I played was it was a HOT DEAL for 4 players for $15 per player. Geeen conditions veryied from hole to hole. Rough is horrible/bare gravely crap. Don't recommend unless you get a deal.

Marshall got in us for pace of play. Said we are 4 holes behind schedule. Pace of play was 4 hours and our 4 some finished in 3:40. Back 9 was no fun after dealing with the Marshall. My group had the first tee time at 5:30 AM. Staff allowed a 2 some out in front of us. That is the reason they got ahead by 4 holes. Will be disputing the charge for the green free. Will not pay for a round that the Staff made non enjoyable.

Glad to see Glen again at the bag drop. Nice to see a smiling, friendly face. Outside staff help one to look forward to a round of golf.

Hadn’t played here for a while because of prior disappointment with the condition of the course. Even the sand bunkers were ok. For the price, it was a deal.

With the hot temperatures this course was in good condition. Friendly staff.

We play this course occasionally because it’s close. Drew greeted us and was very accommodating. Was told there was jr golf going on and wondered how tee times were even allowed to be booked. Was asked to drive to 15 or 16 tee and jump in a gap, which we did. We then followed the last group of very young players at the 1st to tee off. They played only 3 holes and the older kids played 6. Great to see new young golfers out and learning. So we played 23 holes that day. Aerification had been done. Patchy dead grass on fairways, bunkers with hard pack, greens ok, rough was dirt. Still need to update the ladies restroom by the turn. Still need to clean up some aesthetic areas!
