green conditions Photo submitted by u000003377470 on 10/21/2019
Needs a lot of work.
The course needs some major work to improve the fairways and rough. There is too much bare ground even on fairways. The bunkers need some sand. The greens were fine.
Okay track
Not a long course being a par 70. Does have 4 par 5’’s. Fairways and greens were fine. Little rougher if you got off the fairway. Okay to play and the price wasn’t bad for this time of year. Italian restaurant at the course was excellent for lunch after the round.
4 friends
The course is a short fun course. The shape was good.
Course was in good shape fairway to Green, but no sand in traps. Layout in between houses
Better shape
Played on 3/17 afternoon. Started out just the two of us then paired with a single gentleman. Some tee boxes need a lot of repair, the fairways mostly good, bunkers need sand, and greens were ok. Golfers need to fix their divots! Pin placement was awful with locations on the greens never used before! Pace of play perfect. Beverage cart came around. Staff was very nice! Seems to be in better shape right now.
Bad experience
No windshields on carts. 3 outside employees and not one offered to unload our Clubs or put them on a cart.
Cannot recommend playing there.
Over priced
The greens were shaggy and impossible to read. We had putts that broke uphill due to over grown grass. Several greens had what looked like streams of grass to prevented putting properly. Just poorly maintained. The fairways are very narrow and the people that live on the course are miserable. If you have a par 5 with a 30 yard wide fairway then guess what your house is going to get hit, get over it already. Literally had a home owner chase the group in front of us down and delayed our round by 20 minutes while they harassed them for information. I won’t be back.
Disregard previous review! THIS COURSE IS AMAZING!
Played painted Mountain while in town with a few friends! The staff was amazing and the 2pm $50 tee time was awesome! Course was in phenomenal shape and the pace was pretty good. I previously posted a review, but that one was intended for APACHE CREEK NOT PAINTED MOUNTAIN, I've reached out to golf now to change the review, but they cannot do so. This is a 4 star course easily and I definitely plan on playing it again!
Pace of play
Pace was extremely slow with a lot of golfers quitting before they were done. Over booked
Over all average course
First off I did not know this course doesn’t have a driving range. Arriving early for the tee time I should have probably read the reviews. Peak season rates are a little high, paid 75$ thanks to golf now, would not pay more than that for this course. The staff was friendly, the course lay out is fun. Pace of play during this time of the season was slow.
