Brown Fairway. I think this is the 9th fairway but it is typical of all fairways. Photo submitted by sherpaboy on 02/12/2022

Always nice!
Very challenging course. So lucky to have it so close by.
Horrible
Horrible condition. It’s hard to play a full round of golf without landing on grass all day. Weeds, mud, overgrown bumpy uneven tee boxes, gopher mounds, hard packed bunkers, wasteland bunkers completely unkept, etc. My friend literally had a gopher pop up one foot in front of him on an approach causing an errant shot. Hysterical actually, and was the best moment of the day.. Thank You Carlton for the laughs!
Just ok
Conditions here have been getting worse. Mr chen needs to step it up.
Bad conditions
Mr chen needs to spend some money on course maintenance, fairway grass is nonexistent, constantly have to find some green grass to hit off. Bunkers are just as bad, hard as concrete and lots of rocks. Greens were ok and they actually mowed the tee boxes.
Course condition
Course needs maintenance from the fairways to the greens
Decent size for price.
Greens are slow and overly complicated, a lot of dirt areas, undergrown grass
Course is a train wreck
Great staff but the course conditions are poor. Needs a complete overhaul. Felt like we were playing on cement
Great course, but not spectacular
Tee Boxes: Very good condition.
Fairways: Fair to good condition; many areas of bare ground.
Traps/Bunkers: Very firm, with little sand on top.
Greens: Firm.
I love the course layout, but it has been in better condition overall. I would gladly pay more to see improvements in the fairways and bunkers.
It’s not what it used to be.
I’ve been playing Carlton Oaks for many years and it’s been getting worse and worse. The course itself is in such a terrible state. Overgrown tee boxes, horrible fairways, and sand traps that destroy your clubs. There are 1/2”-2” rocks in every sand trap and I’ll tell you what you won’t know until you hit one. And I’m not talking OB traps. I’m talking green side traps. Full of rocks. For the price ($80 on weekends) just pay the little extra and play somewhere else. I’m not trying to be a Karen or complain but even with living less than 5 minutes away I won’t be playing here again. For winter golf there’s no reason the grass should be that dead on every part of the course except the tee box.
Disappointing
No starter for my 10:30 tee time. No course marshaling. Massive wait on every tee box. Broken sprinklers throughout the course with many unforeseen water hazards. 19th hole incredibly slow providing snacks at the turn. Shabby range. Not worth the fees. I’d avoid this track.
back in time
just takes you back in time in a very good time...
Horrible shape
The only good is you can get lit. The course is BAD
They need bill Murray becaue the gophers are out of control!
Pretty rough
They have let this course go. The fairways are in rough shape. I could have used a 4 wheel drive golf cart. A couple of the greens are in bad shape. The gophers are out of control everywhere. The bunkers are hard pan. The track itself is long and challenging. The young man in the pro shop was very nice. To many other options in the area than to play here. Would I recommend this course to someone else? If they’re going to pay for your green fee then yes go ahead.
