Brown Fairway. I think this is the 9th fairway but it is typical of all fairways. Photo submitted by sherpaboy on 02/12/2022

Interesting lay out, good course, but needs more management.
Great facility to practice other game, because the price range was great and somewhat challenging. Good experience.
carlton oaks
Around the greens are great, tee boxes are too. Fairways still need work. No sand in bunkers. Also, how can restaurant have no cook at 2.30.
Very bad. Do not waste your money
my partner and I agreed that this is the worst course we have ever played on in our entire lives. This is over 30 years golfing in all parts of the world. The conditions were so bad. It’s like trying to golf in a gravel pit.
Course needs work
The fairways were in horrible condition, not groomed and lots of dirt patches.
The pace of play was so slow we couldn’t finish our round in 5 1/2 hours.
Still terrible conditions
Dead fairways, uneven tee boxes, gopher holes. Same old Carlton oaks. Ridiculous they charge $67 to play here on a weekday, maybe worth $30. I understand they don’t want to water anything but at least take a tractor out there and flatten all the gopher holes and bumps.
Never gets better
Not sure who’s in charge but they need fired. I give this course a go once every 6 months. Nothing has changed only getting worse. Honestly golf now should take this place off, only helping this course embezzle money. In the 90’s- 10’s this course was amazing. They haven’t put a dime in here and it shows. Greenskeepers rude, Marshall rude. Superintendent even worse try and make a solution to problem he says you don’t know how golf courses operate, you are correct sir, at least not crap hole ones. Stay away!!
Poor conditions, solid round
Overall the course was in rough shape, though I did play in January. The fairways and rough were all pretty rough shape though the tee boxes and greens were kept nicely. The pace of play was quick though I was out there alone and then caught up to a few groups of two but it wasn’t that slow. Pretty narrow fairways and the cart path was choppy making driving around not the best. Greens were solid and fairly difficult making it more fun than the average course. I probably won’t play there again but don’t hate that I did.
OK course
Lots of patch spots in the fairway and barely any grass outside the fairway hard to hit off of unless you got in a good spot. Around the greens were taken care of tho
Gopher Golfing
The course has been overrun by gophers. There must be a million of them with holes and mounds all over. The tees were okay and the greens were okay but everything else was terrible condition. Play Winter rules All over. The course has potential but it's kind of sad. If you need a golf fix badly then it's okay but otherwise not worth it. There was a large crane bird by one of the greens and while we were there it caught three gophers.
Time is money
Don’t waste your time or money. This once entertaining track is in the worst condition I have ever seen.
Tee areas are overgrown. None are flat.
Course is so bumpy that the golf cart will kill your back.
Fairways are more hard pan than grass. Bunkers are like wet cement. Gopher holes are everywhere. Greens look OK, but they have so many types of grass that green speed is erratic.
$80 for a round is insulting. They should close and renovate. Don’t waste your time or money !
