Desert Princess is the Best!

This is a fabulous course near Palm Springs. It has three distinct 9’s and several tee combinations to challenge you. The staff is super friendly and easy going. You won’t find a nicer course to play during your stay in the desert.

A Princess Surprise

Course was in great shape & greens were very receptive to balls coming in. They were relatively fast still. Fairways were cut at a good height & people were filling there divots. Play was quick as we finished 18 holes in 3.5 hrs. Tee boxes were also in solid shape. Course layout was challenging & interesting & I look forward to playing there again. Winds did pick up in the afternoon, which added to the challenge. Highly recommend this course for golfers with a 10 handicap or less. There are some long holes from the blue tee’s which ran close to 6,400 yds total. Course was well maintained.

Nice conditions

Course was in really nice shape. Marty the cart guy was great. Really made the experience special. He was a 5 star guy.

Pro shop staff member that checked me in was a 1 star guy. Didn't appreciate the condescending lecture I got from him regarding the need to check in even though I was getting messages from GN that said we could CI online. He should brush up on his customer service skills.

Grass cut on the tall side

Course was in good shape but they seem to be leaving the grass cut on the tall side even the greens which were playing on the slow side compared to other local courses. Be aware if you start on the Cielo course it’s a 8 minute cart ride to the 1st T. There is a practice green by that 1st T. There’s 3 9 hole courses and I don’t know if you can learn in advance which 2 courses you’re assigned.

DESERT PRINCESS REVIEW

Golfer friendly course. Nice reception at arrival. Condition of tee box & fairways, could be upgraded as the grass is kept long. Greens were fast & kept their line.

Fun to play.

Too Slow for Members

The course and conditions were fine. The ranger that kept pushing us was quite annoying. Members behind us were complaining so we were asked to let them play through. We agreed then it took them 10 minutes to get there and hit. We finished in 4:15 so weren’t that slow. If you don’t want to play behind tourists then ante up and join a private club. If you like my money subsidizing your membership then have a little patience. We played the Cielo 9. Seems like it was an afterthought and stuck out in the desert to offload some non member traffic. Won’t return no matter how good the course is.
