Course was great
The staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous. The course was in great condition.. highly recommend
Nice course with desirable amenities but with meandering layout.
Pros:
--modern carts with GPS.
--impeccable gardens all around the course. Greens and fairways are well-maintained. Lots of water hazards.
--The course is divided into three 9-hole courses. You can binge-play all 27 at one time.
--The 3 9-hole courses are named Cielo, Vista, and Lago. Know which two courses they threw you in and the order in which you are supposed to play, like Cielo-Vista or Cielo Lago. Vista is way down the street, about 8 minutes away. Lost of first-timers got lost.
--The day we played, there were mostly couples, but the staffer did not try to force us into foursomes—basically, they send you out, first-come, first-serve.
Beautiful course!
Beautiful course, some challenging carries if you play the right tees, I’d recommend it to all golfers
Decent Layout ruined by terrible Geofencing and poorest greens on otherwise nice course
Can't abide courses that carelessly set up their geofences, which disabled my cart while ON a CARTPATH, ended up having to drive on the turf at the edge of OB to get around the poor fence, plus multiple other times it prevents users from driving on reasonable areas over 30-50 feet from a green, while other players in their own carts can drive right up to the edge of the green..
Furthermore, greens were mowed very long, which required massively strong putts to go 20 ft. or more.
finally, vista/cielo is the only 18 hole rotation that doest leave you with a 10+ minute ride either before or after your round.
Conditions of Greens
Tee to green in excellent condition nice views both desert & resort settings good value, but the greens where terrible they had not been cut slowest I have seen in desert
Great Course
Sadly GN did not inform us that the other 2 courses were closed. Had to play Cielo Course twice. Disappointed
A Pleasure to Play
Lee and Jerry on staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgable; great service! The Vista / Lagos courses were generally in good shape though there were some dry spots on a couple fairways. One issue for me was unclear signage to direct you from end of Vista to the start of Lagos. Otherwise a pleasure to play all round.
Great course
Great course but a bit challenging to find your way around. In addition, finished playing at 2:00 but grill already closed. A little disappointing that we could not get anything to eat.
Staff is excellent, very friendly. Course in excellent condition considering the heat of the summer.
Rough shape
Course is in bad shape right now. Dead/thin spots everywhere and greens are slow and bumpy. I’ll wait a few months and give them time to fix it before I go back.
Rude and disrespectful
The staff was rude and entitled! We were trying to check in and were treated badly!
I don’t recommend wasting your money here!
There are many other choices in the desert!!
Brown
Greens were fairly good but rest of course burned up
Great Course
It was hot out there... Greens were slower than expected for the heat.
Golfen old lady
I have played these courses many times and the courses have been in good to excellent condition. but not this time. The fairways and around the greens are in poor condition, no grass or burnt-out grass. The greens are in good- minus condition The cart attendant was grumpy old man. After driving an hour, I was very disappointed.
Burned up
Course was dead around greens and most fairway burned up. Greens not to bad
Needs a sign
Greens were great! Fairways had too many bare spots. However, when in shape it has been a great course the few times I played it. When playing the Cielo course and getting off the first green you expect hole #2 to be straight ahead. Who would expect that you go all the way to the wash to play 1 hole.. After figuring out that is wrong you start looking for signs that tell you where to go. There is 1 sign that says follow the arrows and it's pointed in the wrong direction so golfers from 1 don't even notice it. The sign needs to be facing the people coming off 1 and it needs to say "FOLLOW THE ARROWS ON THE STREET WITH A LEFT ARROW. This is not something that should have to be explained. We held up the group behind us for 15 minutes because of it.
Quirky course. Just a bit overpriced for the condition its in
Certainly you need to keep a close eye out for the signage to get around the course.. its right in the middle if a housing development so for me it lacked character.
Greens were true faiways were poor. Course was quite forgetable . Overpriced when compared to other in the area.
