Great shape
The course is in great condition. I didn't like having so many fairways closed to golf carts. I have a bad hip so it made it more difficult for me. I also was paired with 3 other golfers, 2 of which were very slow. We were 30 minutes over by the time we finished.
Beautiful course
Awesome greens, sands need some attention, all in all great experience
Greens are rolling!
Now that it’s drying out, course is looking good. Greens are excellent. Some fairways still have a little damage from storms, but waaaaaaay better than a month ago. Pace of play kinda sucks. They send groups out on top of each other. Waiting 5 min before every shot. I guess that all depends if there’s 4 guys with 25 handicaps hitting multiple balls from back tees. I saw them not clear the ladies tees on like 7 holes. They didn’t even pull their pants down on following shot.
Still needs to recover from the rain
this is a fun course - but does not do good with wet conditions
also, the pace of play here can sometimes be frustrating
it's overall a fun course, and a great place for someone who is learning to play!
will definitely play again
Great Value
Best Overall bang for your buck in North County Sd
Pacing could always improve
fun course, has some par 4s, the 18th is a fun hole - need to figure out the pace of play though
Course is soggy wet, poor drainage. Rough and partial fairways are not mowed due to wetness. Tee boxes and greens in decent shape.
Not bad
The recent reviews didn’t look good but it wasn’t bad at all, fun course layout but pretty challenging. Lots of bunkers and deep rough. Still some muddy spots but nothing crazy.
Very Wet and unplayable in spots
The course was very wet and unplayable in many spots. We constantly had to move the golf balls out of standing water and we frequently walked through standing water to get to the golf balls. Also - this was a 5 1/2 hour round of golf on a course that took 3 1/2 hours to play the last time we were there. Many times there were 3 groups at a tee box at one time. Clearly too many people were on the course and the tee times were too close together. We will not be returning.
Good amenities, awful shape, not worth the price
Course is super muddy still with standing water even though all other courses are pretty dry. Pace of play was awful. A round with carts took 5.5 hours and no marshal out there. Clubhouse and amenities are pretty cool but course is in bad shape.
Slow Mud bog
First time playing this course since the Name change. 3 1/2 hour front nine. The course was cart path only which was absolutely required. The course had standing water on almost every hole. I walked, and it was just soupy as heck. Almost lost my shoe in a mud hole in the fairway. Rough was uncut (to be expected) but lost 3 balls just off the fairway. Couldn't find them. On the subject of slow play, if they would just spread out the start time by a couple of minutes, that would be much better. There were 3 groups at each tee box on the front nine. With the mud and standing around waiting to play your next shot, I would wait at least a couple of weeks before spending money on this course.
Advise to wait for Cali to dry out
Always a fun layout, greens were good and fair. Problem was course, which has wet spots in best of times, was soggy from recent rains, and mowing restriction from rains made for patches of deep clover in rough making it difficult to find wayward balls and hacking it out as if playing US Open. Look forward to playing here again when moisture level returns to normal.
