Course Degraded
Sad to see this course degrade it’s quality. What a waste!
$8.50 for a can of beer?!?!? That’s a joke!
Wow what happened to Ike?!
What in the world happened to one of the premier golf courses in LA? Played Ike, which used to be one of my favorite local courses, and was shocked re: course conditions. It was BAD, like Michael Jackson BAD.
I haven't played here in 2 yrs (since pandemic) and looked forward to coming back. I convinced family and friends we should play on MLK Holiday as a treat. So 10 of us played and boy did I get an earful from folks asking me how and why I would esteem such a place. I felt bad about hyping Ike and making everyone pay Holiday rate to experience such a poor conditioned course... no grass on most fairways, hard pan dirt!
The next day I called and spoke to the head pro (or Director of Golf) to share my feedback. He acknowledged everything I said and spoke of budget and staffing issues. He apologized but that was about it.
Sadly I can no longer recommend this course to anyone and I won't be back... possibly ever.
Course is in really good shape
4.5hr round. Teed off at 7:20 and got paired with two others. The course is true risk/reward. If you “go for it” and don’t make it, you will be punished. I recommend knowing where to be on the greens as they are fast and there are some undulating greens that make for tough putts. Overall, it’s one of my favorite courses in SoCal.
Slow play jerks in pro shop
The guys have seen me before plenty of times, due to COVID I did not want to ride with the people in my group but was forced to either pay $30 or ride with someone, this is not ok. I do play enough here that I went to check in with the cart guy and he had no idea what the pro shop was talking about but because he was new he gave my cart to someone not even in my group so Essentially we were told we could not get a cart unless we pay again. They tried to double charge me for a cart…… seriously….. ohhh and it took 5hrs to play this has gotten ridiculous and has to stop if you are taking more than 10min per hole pick up your ball and move on to the next hole.
Best Course in the Area!!
Great course!
Best course in the area.
Resort style course.
Poor fairways. Not worth the price.
Fairways were very very dry. Maintenance is so poor for the reputation this course has. Not worth the price, maybe it’ll be better in the summer.
Dormant Bermuda is the worst
Needs to over seed in the winter. Dormant Bermuda is unplayable and slows play for every one. The course is hard enough without so many bad lies. Bunkers need lots of sand. Muni courses are better kept for half the price and same pace. A plus was the greens were decent if you can hit them… other wise you are guaranteed a bad lie to a tricky pin.
Too hard poor maintenance and expensive
The narrowest fairways I've ever played. Very hard to keep the ball in play on the front 9 especially. The fairways were poor--many areas of mud, dirt and dead grass. Very thin lies in fairway. Tee boxes were in poor shape. Greens were decent. Terrible value.
Poor maintenance and too hard
Poorly maintained fairways. Many areas of mud dirt and dead grass. Very tight lies almost everywhere. Poor tee boxes. Decent greens. The narrowest and most penal golf course I’ve played. Way too hard for an average golfer like me. And expensive. Poor value. Nice putting and chipping areas but very hard to find and remote from the driving range making a practice session into a long walk. Terrible range balls, some of the worst I’ve seen. Looked like they’d never been cleaned. I’ll never go back and I’ll tell everyone I know to stay away.
Great layout...winter Conditions
Always love playiing Industry Hills, but course isn't in great shape right now. It's definitely in winter conditions. Fairways are brown with inconsistent coverage, rough is thick and leafy making balls hard to find. Traps are thin and greens are severely undualted and fast. Pin placements were diabolical and 3 putts were the norm. I'd wait till conditions improve to return. POP was 5 hours.
Sad. Course is trashed
I don’t want to pay double what County Muni charge for the same, if not, worse conditions. Fairways and rough are totally trashed. Bunkers are half and half, rock hard and no sand or too many pebbles. Don’t really care if the greens are good. Plenty of places are half this price and have good greens like this and actually have good grass to hit off.
The only work they’ve put in is to put some grass on some of the tee boxes but not all. They literally do the bare minimum maintenance to the course here and pocket the rest of the money.
Don’t waste your time or money here. It’s a disgrace.
Brown Fairways
Very disappointing for Industry Hills. Brown Fairways
Drunk 5-dimes.
Cart path only is not good
The fairway was still wet and we had to walk to play as it was cart path only. So my score was not so good today ..
