Pala Mesa Resort

The course was upgraded recently and its in very good shape. Its lush and green and plays long....if you're between two tee ratings I'd suggest the shorter option. New sand in the bunkers plays well, much improved over years past. Its a unique and challenging layout and worthy of more play.

I hope others take advantage of the late afternoon special - $49 after 3:00 so it continues past July. Its great for me since my skin no longer tolerates the mid-day sun.

This course used to cost $50 or $60 to play, and now they want $120 for a weekend round after 1pm?? Did anything drastically change from 2 years ago to now?

The layout is a challenging layout. Front 9 is a little more tight where accurate tee balls are key. The back 9 is more open and friendly off the tee. The greens were in great shape and very receptive. They were probably rolling around 9-9.5 so not very fast but not slow either. This was my 5th time playing the course and this was the best shape I’ve seen it in. My only complaint is the pace of play. We teed off at 8:20 and it was nearly a 5 hour round. I would definitely recommend this course as long as you plan on a 5 hour round

We started at 8:50am on a Tuesday! Never waited kn a hole! Fast play and nice layout. Couple challenging holes to keep you on your toes. Greens were tricky but fun! Will play again when nearby!

Fairways in great shape. Tee boxes could be cleaned up a bit. Greens were fast and consistent.

Good value for the money. Back 9 was great. Will definitely be coming back

Only recommendation it the tee boxes need to be leveled out getting a bit sloped and curved

Course is in very good shape. Tee box grass could mowed shorter. Would be nice to have an ice machine for guests to use especially since there is no ice chest on the cart.

Traveled out to visit a friend and we decided to play this course. Since it was a weekday, they were not super busy, and we ended up chatting with staff and were a few minutes late to our tee time. Staff are nice and friendly, the course is highly maintained, and overall the experience was fantastic.

I arrived early for my 12.20 pm tee time and was allowed to go off early as a single. Course is in good shape. Greens are very nice. After about six holes, I caught the two some in front of me and ended up joining them on the 11th hole when they caught the group ahead of them. We played at a leisurely yet good pace the rest of the round. Cart GPS appears to be accurate and was nice to reference. I found too many sand traps which were challenging to get out of. I paid with a Golfnow hot deal but was told by the group I joined that rates dropped in June. Ask the pro shop about rates other than those listed on Golfnow or the course website.

Thank you for listening to people and finally lowering your prices in the afternoon. Used to play here with my wife every week until the prices went too high. Keep them lowered in the afternoon and we will be there every week again.

twas a nice day from the silver tees, tougher from the blues.....i enjoyed the early tee time ..kinda a big price tag for me, but i decided to go for it....fairways had grass on em....greens a bit fast so take it easy on that first putt....keep it in play and you'll do well.........
